I created a couple of characters. I am on a character page. I see a button to come here, log out or give money.

is this just a "post on the message board and roleplay"

When you first start, the game's kinda boring. It can take a while for anyone to respond to you introducing yourself, and you don't have the tools to do anything really interesting, but after a while you figure out the game's pace (slow), and you start getting to know the other characters and accumulating some tools and resources, and then it starts to get addictive.

You need to click on the icon next to a character to access individual character pages (in case you didn't notice). I remember wondering about that when I was new. It would be easier if character names were clickable but since it's possible to give a blank name (I think) maybe the icons were used to assure that there's always something visible to click on.
