I sure hope someone digs up the code and fixes this, because my fear is that the already low playerbase will lose even more newer players and even some old ones because of this. A lot of players don't seem to be checking at all, which eventually could cause their characters to starve. That could cause many players to cancel their accounts/stop playing out of frustration. I won't, I have faith someone will fix this in the next month.

Sorry for rambling.

HORRAY! :D

Thanks to whoever sorted it but, sorry to say it, the problem is only half fixed.

One of my characters still isn't lighting up when things are hapening even though theres no error line at the top of the character page. Others of mine are lighting up.

The one that isn't was made during the problem, I think that may have something to do with why......

Yes if you made a char during the problem they won't light up.

Is this fixable? I rejoined Cantr during the problem without knowing about it, so my first two characters don't light up. I didn't even know it was fixed until I started my third character today and he lit up.

You'll have to live with it in the short term. Fixing it will take some database fossicking, which is something to be approached with extreme care! It is very easy to tweak the wrong thing with results like:
    your inventory disappears,

all your projects become somebody else's projects,

you lose your memory of all the characters you've met,

any of these things might happen to somebody else who didn't have a problem in the first place,

any of these things happen to everybody,

or something completely different but still bad!

So a fix for this problem is going to have to wait until somebody has several hours to investigate, properly understand the problem, and carefully design a fix.

Take your time, then. Honestly, I don't mind just leaving the two of them like this. It's not really any trouble to check them manually every once in a while.
