Character died for no reason
My character (Ophiene Teya) recently died for absoloutly no reason. In the end report it says:
2331-0: You say: "XXXXXXX"
2331-0: You take 1000 grams of asparagus.
2330-7: You are hungry.
2330-0: You are hungry.
2328-7: You are hungry.
2327-7: You are hungry.
As is plainly written, she had food in hand, no action of violence was taken or any other thing. It seems like she just randomly died, and this is rather upsetting considering that I put a lot of emotional attachment to that particular character.
Is this some new "random death/heart attack" feature, or a bug?
Edit: My account number is 88369. I hope this was just a mod deleting another char who had requested to be heart-attack'd and mistyped something..

O.o That was you! I was like wtf. Though that sentence you spoke made it seem dramatic somehow.
I can testament to that. No violence or anything. But perhaps the asparagus wasn't enough to curb your hunger and you ate all that and was still too hungry and died?
By the way, you do realize there's probably no chance of you getting your character back...

I do understand that. However, I would at least like to know the reason for her death. She was at less than 50% hunger, and the wiki said that asparagus is eaten at a rate of 119 grams per day. Even with the eating sickness, that wouldn't all be eaten in one day.
In addition, it doesn't show a final "You are hungry" at the end, which I beleive it shows when a character dies of starvation.

It takes a moment after reaching 100% hunger before a character dies. I believe the eating routine goes through all the characters, then kills the ones who reached 100% hunger. Since there are so many characters, it takes minutes to go through the whole list. But if you looked at the character's hunger about the time when you picked up that food and it was anything less than 100% then they shouldn't have died.

Characters die about 40min - 1hr after the eating routine. Eating is about... 1pm here, and they die between 1:40 and 2pm if they hit 100% (at least the last few times I starved a char, that's the time difference; it's been awhile though).
No character that is over 100% stays alive after hitting it (food won't save them) so that sounds like a bug, Trezker.
Sorry to hear about your char, Dog. But yea, it's easy to think they have a lot of time left even at 20%, but remember, they gain at least 5% of hunger a day. More if they have the eating sickness, I think.

Sylphied Yamiroth of Klojt awoke from a long sleep starved, screaming and running from person to person begging for food and pleading with us to not let him die. His friends, my character among them, all did what we could. But it was too late. It was shocking and sad and brilliantly played! That was many years ago but my character still shivers at the memory. He always finds time to cook extra food. The town leader later let my character have Sylph's rickshaw.
