*he looks begrudgingly at the First Officer* This is madness! That is a British transport! Marines! Present! *the assembled marines aim their primed muskets at the quarter deck, where the first officer and the Captain are standing* I am placing you under arrest unless you stop this foolish barbarism! It is unthinkable sir! I've already seen you shoot out of hand a boy. I will not stand for it and it is within my power to relieve when I see that you are no longer fit to command!
*Drawing his sabre, he looks to Captain F and then to Joo* Your swords.
The transport, still firing and smoking, begins to turn broadside to the Sparrow. Her side disappears in smoke as the Sparrow is hit by every cannon the transport can muster... few by comparison, but enough to kill and injure, turning the lower decks into a charnel house and knocking many a man off his feet, including some marines and their officer. Suddenly, there is a heart wrenching noise... the deck seems to move beneath them, and the Transport explodes violently, throwing wood, iron and men in all directions. Some of the wreckage hits the Sparrow, one piece of cannon taking a man's head clean off. The body falls to it's knees, blood spurting. The deck is a mess of wood and iron, men and spars, sails and blood, offal and screaming.
15 miles away, the Loire has heard everything, hearing the rumble of cannon and the massive roar of the explosion, and finally the smoke and clouds to come from the short battle...
First roll for the British ship:
Cantr Freak: 5
Joo: 2
Crosshair: 3
Trexdino: 4
No deaths this roll. Next roll same time next week (hopefully)
or when the two ships come to blows.

Hm, mutiny? *He turns to Crosshair and grins.* I'm afraid that for the transport incident, you can't blame me but you can blame the lookout instead. We are hunting the Loire, and I'm wary of every ship that is in these waters. In fact, we might have sunk the Loire itself, hopefully. But since the lookout hadn't been able to give us the right information I had no choice but to sink it. And once we found it was a British ship, we had to finish the job unfortunately or word could get out to Britian. Don't worry, we have permission from his/her (I dunno) Majesty to do whatever means neccesary to sink the Loire.
As for the boy, I want it known that this ship is to be perfect. He's an example to the rest and I wouldn't have hesitated to kill you or anybody else the moment you made a mistake. I let the boy live, and so he should be greatful. Marines, stand down. Remember I am your ultimate superior, Crosshair is only your direct superior. No, Lieutenant, please end this foolishness and lets focus on the matter at hand.
(OOC: Lol, this is getting interesting. I love my screwed up captain.)

*he stands up, looking about at his men angrily, and glares at the First Officer* What about the penalty for sinking a Kings ship, killing all her souls aboard and openly admitting that you knew she was ours even as she sank... *he shakes his head* I believe it is you who should be clapped in irons and hung, Mr Joo! *he looks to the Captain* Sir... you could at least try to find some survivors in the wreckage. *he glances to his Sergeant, and nods to him. The man in turn looks to the men, who lower their muskets.* You might understand how I feel from my position of looking at it, sirs. You are both experienced officers who, without any hesitation, have sunk a friendly transport... *he sheathes his sword* But I must obey... Fall out lads. *the marines move to the sides of the ship, glaring at their Captain and muttering to themselves*

*He watches to the side* Crosshair, you are stepping into dangerous waters, literally and figurality. Be wary, we are all keeping an eye on you. *he turns to the Captain* I am going to take care of it downbelow. *he walks down below the deck and starts getting all the cannons cleaned out*
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.

*As the Midshipman leaves, he scowls* Hold your tongue, boy. I will not be talked to by a Midshipman like that.
Sirs, I am well within my rights to object to this act of murder. But for now I will hold my tongue and do as asked.

*He scowls at Crosshair, then turns to the Captain, lowering his voice* Are you sure it's wise to just let him go, Sir? He threatened us, and tried to raise mutiny - if he is allowed to return home with this information, he could tell anybody about us sinking that vessel, but then... so could any other sailor on this ship *frowns*

*he nods gravely, and turns, muttering something to his sergeant. The man then turns to some onlooking sailors* Boats in the water! search for survivors!
*The boats are hoisted out and lowered into the water, and crews pull on the oars, the Leiutenant in the first boat, looking at the bodies floating in the water with dismay...*

(OOC: The Lieutenant doesn't know what we're talking about.)
*shrugs* He's a good soldier and we'll need him for the battle. He doesn't understand that the Loire is supposed to be in sight and the ship could've been facading as a British trader. If our lookout wasn't drunk, we could've avoided this but unfortunately... where's our new lookout?

*he hears the loud blasts of explosion and instantly stands up from his chair* Captain! Did you hear that? There are armed ships nearby. I must ready the men! *he bows to Pie and then swiftly marches out the door, shouting as soon as the door opens for the men to line up and load all weapons* Stand by your stations, gentlemen! *he then shouts out, expecting an answer* What say the explosions I heard earlier? What ship is on the horizon?

*The Leiutenant returns to the ship, jacket off, shirt open to the waist..., he moves over to the captain and salutes* Four survivors sir... one of which is the master of the ship. I think he would wish to speak to you, sir.
*he gestures to a stretcher, on which a portly middle aged man lies. Half of his face is burned badly, and one of his legs looks a vicious mess of bone, blood and cloth. He looks to the Captain through a mist of pain, and growls...* "Damn you, sir... damn you to hell..." *With that, the men take him below to the surgeon*
*The leiutenant buttons up his jacket, and sighs* Four... Out of countless hundreds... *he shivers* I've seen some terrible things in that water, sir...

*he mutters* On top of our incredible ruse to sink one of our own ships, making it look like we're a Frenchman.... *he stalks off to parade his marines*
