Here is the harm....

There is a four day rule put in place, and there are some people here on the forums who don't like to know whats going on in game or what will be going on (unless their characters know..) That is to include newspapers and the like as well. Though maybe all of the things in your newspaper will have already happened four days or more ago---Some characters/players do not know what your character had intended to write in the newspaper...

While there is no harm in posting questions as to how you could make a newspaper better, it is/could be harmful to post the actual things you are having your character write.

I am not big on the four day rule, nor do I care much what I see on the forum and I do like to discuss things in game with friends; But not everyone likes to see that. Just keep that in mind and remember that the four day rule is there whether we care for it or not. :)

Oh, didn't think of that. Good point.
I did get the impression it was more than 4 days old. A couple of things in the paper are things that have been discussed on the forums already.

I think turning to folks for an opinion on the forum is perfectly fine - but I do agree with watching the 4-day rule... Ideally the "example" paper should be a little out of date and obviously this should be a very rare occurance (ie. don't publish the paper here once a week)

I agree with Sho too that the whole "writing aspect" is really difficult to play - so's the IC feedback aspect - I know as hard as I try my chars would probably all react the same I did although they might put their words differently/more diplomatically (and forget about my giant idiot character who can't read - he'd probably try to eat it ;) )

I came here to learn how to improve my writing and not my paper. I posted this up to show an example of my writing, but most of this stuff is over 4 days old and the thieves thing was discussede in CR breach section so I wasn't sure about that, but I just want opinions on how I can improve my writing if you would be so kind as to post them.

There's some factual errors...I thought Prole was a Stonecutter, for one thing.

But DAMN. he's dead? That bastard had my bike cart :D
Wonder when/if my char will ever find out...

Ok I got this infromation from a Red Knight. I never got to talk to either of them (died while I was asleep) he said that they where in I think Olipifirovash's Forest's Red Knights and rose through the ranks came here and betrayed them. I might have read it wrong, but I think they were both Red Knights. I will have to ask the people in town.

Your character wasnt going to validate his/her information until you heard it was wrong on the forums... He shouldnt want to IC unless someone says its false IC.

The thing is Nick I just finished this, and than I had to go in with Harry McConnor to the Olipifirovash Tools and Furniture to work on some projects so it hasn't gone out to the people yet and I hadn't gotten to validate my information.

What I was saying is that you probably wouldnt have valified your info if noone here pointed out its wrong.
Some things IG are wrong, but thats part of Cantr. For a while the Siomites thought Redfish was the guy who said "first quality stone", which is perfectly fine.

Well thank you for poining that out. I will ask in olipifirovash if anyone knows if he was a stonecutter or a red knight. If no one knows I will just change it to a stonecutter.

Your bike cart? Thats one thing wrong with the clans. A bunch of people make the big items... one person drives it around for a while and thinks they own the thing.

What just happened above is the reason why I didn't like this topic. But no one ever listens to me these days.....

well, whatever. Saw some Red Knight driving it years after I lent it to Prole and was mightily confused.

I drove it for nigh on 5 years...not mine but I became fond of it, you know?
