Leave it be!

Rather than worrying about adding anymore new features, why not leave the game alone now and have the remaining programmers work on refining the code as was mentioned in other parts of the forum?

Everything works as it is and the game is still fun, so why risk introducing more bugs and laggy processes? Leave it alone!

As much as I wish they'd add towels, I have to agree that fixing the lag and other serious issues should be top priority.

Except that the people that add towels have nothing to do with fixing the lag, and the people that are qualified to fix the lag have nothing to do with implementing towels. Are a few towels snapping around the game really going to cripple it?

While I do agree that fixing the lag is top priority, to ask the other departments to suspend operation and go home is rather an over-reaction (and I suspect this comment might have been partly instigated by the changes in the drying racks).

New objects (like towels) added within the framework of existing objects don't cause any problems because the framework is tried and true. Yes, if the RD tried to implement some new-fangled thing that required Programming to make code changes, then there could potentially be problems, but they're not, because programming doesn't have time to implement anything newfangled. Adding new jackets, towels, or animals doesn't hurt anything.

As far as I know, nothing "new" (in regards to new code) has been added to the game in quite some time, just new objects implemented using existing, proven code, and tweaks to existing objects and systems. None of these affects lag, and none of these has anything to do with the programmers.

This...

Seriously, if there are going to be more major changes that aren't even discussed (as in getting the feel of people's opinions- hmm, sounds like the eating sickness), then I'd rather have none especially while the game is so laggy.

If you're going to make any changes, do some of the little, already well-discussed/generally agreed-upon, non-programming changes that have been waiting for years in accepted suggestions.

Yeah I thought adding towels wouldn't affect the programmers but I couldn't be sure.
I think the game has been quite tolerable lately, has something happened on the lag front? Or am I just missing the lag times by chance?

Ya, I was surprised when I first found out it lags (I've only really experienced the lag once).

But then your in Australia and I'm in China and everyone else is in America so timezones probably contribute to it...

... Germany and...

Still, Europe is probably even worse than the Americas because we only have three or four timezones. I'm not surprised that you experience considerable less lag in China or Australia.

...Portugal (the next European champion...) and...

I say we don't leave it alone. People should continue suggesting things, and the departments should continue to accept it or reject it... Just not implemment it  Since it causes more lag...so, yeh. Make suggestions but wait till lag says 'bye' to add those suggestions to the game.
