And what about the Macgregor? And the Stone Knights? And the New Blackrocks? I think if you take a look at the bigger picture, even areas on the same language area can be very different. For example, things that happen with the Order of Donii, they would be put to death in the Macgregor areas. Cantr has a culture, or am I the only person to see this?
Donii put to death in MacGregor land? I doubt that unless they become a problem. But yes, those are only a few places. I've seen some more less known places with a culture but many places are just bland with nothing interesting in them and nobody there wants to accept change or try to make something interesting.

I most certainly have thought about this. It would be the logical consequence of variation in quality of items would be introduced (the consequence of variation in expertise when fabricating). It must have been proposed in some way.
The type of items already exists: coins!

I'm surprised at comments like this. I know, magic should never play a part in Cantr, but according to my suggestion it's role would be nothing over microscopic. I'm not suggesting we add magic for the sake of magic, I'm suggesting it because I believe it could cause a good stir while only a margin of chars would be able witness it.

I've seen worse. Lots and lots of charries that are telepatic. It's just ridiculous. It doesn't fit in the game... Cantr is strange, really strange, but I like it because it's "realistic". No magic, no coming back from death,no instant heal,no buying credits to make your projects progress faster... Yes you can hunt a hawk with your fist and people are spwaning out of nowhere but... It's good :'D

The only way for the "psychic" mechanic to work with the in-game cultures would be if players were unaware that it was implemented: but this would cause many CRB accusations, and the players who got psychic premonitions would be frustrated that others don't believe them. On the other hand, if it was announced, then being psychic would just become another label for a character like being a good fighter. There'd be no reason to disbelieve a character who claimed to be psychic, if you trusted them, and it would take away the sense of identity and individuality that it was supposed to impart.
A better solution (I can't believe I'm actually saying this) might be to have premonitions come completely randomly to characters while they are asleep (i.e. logged off - while resting would cause people to rest on purpose to chase premonitions), and for the premonitions to be not so portentous as to disrupt the game, but still have some benifit. For example, a character might sense somebody dying violently in an adjacent location, or a ship that is coming towards them but out of sight. Things like animal attacks would be too difficult to implement, but if weather was ever implemented and it had an effect on projects, then characters who could "see rain" might be quite useful.

That's the difference between physic characters and characters who just claim to be psychic... or cheat.
Theiy don't claim to be psychic... They only act like Zergs, like if there was a "Mastermind" telling them where and when to go, and what to do.
