Did your character know it was a lie that you can't use a smelting iron as a Chinese stir-fry machine? Or did your character deviously mislead authorities to the whereabouts of a serial killer? Or what about your character not telling his wife about his harem of mistresses? Surely, it just slipped his mind before she slit his throat.

I can never tell a lie
Since I can't, what's a factual lie that you've told that you know is a gross distortion of the truth. What was the context and what were the repercussions?

Hmm.. one of my characters knows the truth (or so he thinks) and is kept being fed distortions of truth, purposefully waiting to hear the truth as he lives out a lie.
But as for what you're asking, what is a lie my character has told? One of my characters was a spy and infiltrated the grounds of his enemies, feeding them lies that were very far from the truth while gaining their trust and analyzing their weaknesses. The Context: Well, the mission was to assess this certain force group's level of threat and learn about their structure. The Repercussions: I guess, to make them feel safe when they really weren't.
