The two husbands, raised to be "manly" and thus protective of what is "theirs", are, needless to say, not too fond of each other.

Since the two control their respective sections, they live on separate sides of Cantria. Fortunately for them (and the Queen), they all live in one large castle in the middle of the land of which the castle is split down the middle into two for the husbands to remain separate from each other while still controlling their side of the land.

There are many skirmishes between the two husbands. Newspawns favor the old guy but the richer folk favor the young husband.

(Okay, this is getting a bit unrealistic: things like that don't really happen in Cantr unless there are dedicated players on both sides. Let's take this a bit slower.))

There is a "Newspawn's Guild" in the town whose job it is to initiate all newspawns in the art of being a citizen: provide them with basic clothing and protection, ensure they know and obey the law, evaluate their skills and give them a starting job. Anybody who commits a crime under the age of 21 is sent back to the newspawn's guild for rehabilitation (and incarceration: basically they are forced to do forced labour in chains until they promise to be good).

In rebellion to this "Newspawn Guild" is an underground group called the "Liberal Pirates". The LP is a secret society, started by the Legendary Kynis Black, in which the mission of this cult is to liberate Newspawns of the paternalistic ways of the NG. Successful liberation of those in detainment of the NG will lead to a pirate life under the LP.

(OOC: It doesn't need to be realistic, its just a dream Cantr civilization.)

The Militia of the town is very organized. The bottom level consists of slaves with basic weapons, the next is the volunteer troops, then the professional soldiers. From there comes commanders who control certain outposts and colonies. Commanders are often hired due to bribery. Then comes the Honor Guard who guards prominent figures. One husband controls the Army mainly, the other controls the Navy whoever they both of ships and soldiers at thier disposal to use in thier war against each other. The Queen does not meddle with military affairs.

(OOC: Name the levels. :P)

The higher levels though are untrained against fighting real foes, for it is only up to the volunteers that fight the pirates.
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.
As you can see, the Jedi are hypocrites.

The bananas are a rare exotic delicacy transported from an island many leagues away, and most of them stored outside in a container, which would explain the monkeys occupying the surrounding area.

Anybody who takes bananas or hunts monkeys without permission is detained immediately and forced to starve until they apologise to the Queen.

The population of the town is slowly decreasing - the number of people who leave to join the pirates overwhelms the spawn rate, but the rulers fail to notice any problems.
