Slot machines / Gambling/making coins feasable

Postby buddyhall » Tue Apr 15, 2008 1:38 am

I think there should be slot machines maybe poker tables maybe dice tables and anything related impelment the machines now make them work later.

I think this would be an awesome way to make coins feasable make the slotmachines take coins and people could gamble on the card games.

Gambling games can be done already, without expensive machines to do so.

Yep, just rp it. I believe Kwor had a gambling game going last time I was there.
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.

I find these kinds of 'agruments' really annoying. We could 'just rp' everything.. going in and out of buildings, cooking food etc. but we don't. We have the buildings we can go into, we can cook food and the game makes us eat if we have any food.

So why couldn't we have a slotmachine in the accepted suggestions?
Why can't someone make a fortune by setting up a casino type building?

This person has a coin press inside the building, maybe even a few coin presses and that person exchanges the coins into resources and items people give him/her. Then the person who bought coins can go and spend them in the hope of winning something.

Of course it'd be a different thing on how to set up a machine with an x% chance of winning y or z amount of coins which can then be traded back to materials..

but please. For f's sake.. 'Just rp it' the worst argument ever. (no, I'm not pointing fingers.. this thread was the first one in which I gathered enough strenght to actually write, so nothing personal Trexdino.)
I see you.
Now I don't.
Or do I?
Maybe I do,
maybe I don't..
Well, I guess I just don't.

I have my stick. I shall beat it.

Rejected Duplicate
Gambling
Dice and Chances
That last one from Anthony back in 2004. That's just from searching for 'gambling' in the suggestion forums.

I'm pretty sure some form of random-number-generator or something similar has been accepted, at least in a passing note, if not formally moved into accepted suggestions.

Maxima enim patientia virtus

It may happen. Maybe even tomorrow. Maybe later, or later than that.

For now, rather than complaining about suggestions to 'go rp', accept that unless you teach yourself PHP and join the ProgD, we have little choice than to use those noggins of ours and do what we can with the tools we have (which is, surpisingly for some, a lot more than might be immediately apparent).

So, unless you plan to join ProgD.
Be patient and 'just RP'

(hey, I'm a poet and I did not know that)

I seem to remember gambling on carrot digging project outcomes. There's plenty of opportunity if yu work at it.
Also, vending machines were once suggested, but that's disappeared into the long list of other unprocessed suggestions.

Now you just sound like you're taking it personally, hf.

I thought this suggestion forum was here so that people could give some kind of for and against 'vote' and then point their views..
This one right now looks something like:

A: 'I would like to see this in game'
B: 'Learn some coding and do it yourself, that's a no if you didn't get it'

I didn't say that the ProgD should go implement this suggestion now nor even tomorrow. In fact, I don't recall saying anything about ProgD or the way these forums or Cantr is being controlled.

I just stated that in my opinion, there should be something more in an argument than 'just rp it' since.. Well, I could copy/paste that into every single suggestion I just have the energy to.
I'm waiting for a lot of the accepted suggestions and when they aren't available in game, I just RP. But still, no matter what you say, that is a bad argument.
I see you.

Now I don't.

Or do I?

Maybe I do,

maybe I don't..

Well, I guess I just don't.
