It's been two weeks now, and some people report changes, and others report no changes. The only actual change was in the hyenas. All the new animals were simply clones of the old ones, so the mixed results are not surprising, with the positive reports being due to a mix of placebo effect, chance, and some hyena impact.

Where my char is that's not because of the reduced aggression of animals but the result of luck with genetics combined with 30 years of dedicated work stockpiling healing foods and making iron and steel.

I really think the sheer amount was what made Aki... but personally I haven't seen much other than some more violent animals.

My characters are still happy as (insert very happy thing here) and are rejoicing. Maybe some more power and more frequent attacks might be nice. Probably since the hyena update maybe he's seen only like 2-3 attacks?

Aggressiveness has been nudged upwards today (day 2220). We'll try this level for a couple of weeks and then evaluate again. Remember that the animal population is growing in unpopulated places right now and when it hits the per location limits, migration is more likely. Migration is random, so the more roads you have the more animals you'll see moving in.
In short, hunt early and hunt often, or risk being trampled in the long run.

Does aggressiveness affect population?

Yes. Typically, the more aggressive the animal, the lower the per location soft cap. These caps have been relaxed in regards to Aki.

Well, yes and no... Yes, since the ones with higher aggressiveness are often manually set to lower population caps. No, if you mean if it happens automatically.

Yes, the warthog and jackrabbit have spontaneously decided to go invisible. I've informed Marol about this bug/glitch.

The aggressiveness on Aki, at least where my char is, seems to be at a good level now. Dangerous enough to be interesting, not all chars can be outside for any length of time, but it's not impossible for everyone, so some infrastructure progress is finally actually happening, largely thanks to sinew string and the brief respite from attacks. It's still the case that most people who spawn there, realise what it is straight away and sleep to death. It would be nice to find a balance that can get people to actually want to play there.
So, I say leave the animals as they are now wrt aggressiveness, but you could probably increase reproduction of water buffalo.

I agree on this, my char has been attacked 7 times in the past 2.5 days. He's a little too weak, so he keeps taking 1-3 points of damage every other attack or so. That is a very good level, imo.

O.o Are you serious. In Wood Camp I don't think I've seen a single attack for quite a long time.

It's been four weeks. How do you feel things are now?
