So what about this? Is one of the admins going to post a referral link to Amazon? I could register there myself but it's best done with an American address, besides I already have an account there.

They pay you a percentage of the books purchased through the link, without making those books more expensive. So anybody who wants to buy a book through Amazon anyways can make Amazon donate money to Cantr

Do it before it is too late! I just ordered 2 DVD's... one of them being 1984.
Which is the movie of the book that inspired my RPing of Mogul-Lord.

Okay, I didn't even notice that there were ads on the site. :o I don't mind them being about languages, though. I don't need any ads tempting me to go play anymore games because I know games take up so much of my time, so I avoid them, but I came to Cantr because it had French (which I am studying). :P So the ads suit me perfectly. 8)

Me neither. Add more, seriously. I for one dont mind if the game is swarming with ads if it helps the game out.

Meh. I'd prefer none when you're actually logged in--but I don't mind the ones on the front page.

That may soon mean you prefer to pay for the game.

We had an ad for Amazon.com for a long time, and it never delivered us any money. The Google ads, however, did so far pay 2/3 of a month's hosting. (Only of one month, though ;) ...)

I think, if we alter the frontpage text sometime, and get therefore better ads, that we should be ok.

2/3? Hey, that's not bad at all... More then I expected... For how many clicks? I bet quite a lot, aslo, I have a suspicion a lot of clicks... *cough*

As for paying... I'm kinda.. Broke... What we all feared has come true.. After disposing the expensive Dutch deckhands, it's the officers turns now. I'm waiting for a job for over 3 months now. Nothing sofar... Time to think about getting some education. :D

Hey Jos - do you get paid per click on the home page? If so I'll start clicking whenever I log in....

He does, but only if you browse the link you click on. Clicking and closing will get the sponsors angry or something, at least thats what Jos said. Or something along those lines, I will let Jos clarify.
