 Apparently, hEarty's inital enthusiasm was short lived...

If he doesn't reply soon, I'll sent my word to trexdino instead.

*sigh* Still no message
When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.

Better luck next time, hEarty...

 trexdino, I shall be in contact with you shortly.

P.S. I won't subscribe anybody who doesn't explicitly say so, so if you asked to be signed up to the next round and want to subscribe, please clarify ;)

I'm really sorry about that!

I don't get to the computer often enough to join into this game apparantly.

Sorry!

Sorry!

Don't worry, I do it all the time -- and I'm supposed to be managing this thread! We just needed to know that you hadn't abandoned the game.

Yes, you're second on the list, after Sparkle.

Okay, now that we're past the quotes of the day, I'll give the word-chain from round 7:

idol
hero
champion
winner
victor
master

I found this round's transformation quite satisfying: you can see the connection, but the word has gradually mutated to a different meaning. I should use nouns more often...

For a future round, perhaps round 9 (the round after the next one), I'd like to try out a slightly different format for the game that was suggested by Sparkle recently. The basic mechanics of the game are the same, but what changes is the information that is passed between people: instead of a single word, a whole sentence is passed along, and every time it is forwarded, the sender changes one word of the sentence, ensuring that it still makes sense (although the new word does not have to be related to the previous word in any way). Players still send me a copy of their change, and the sentence is passed back to me in the end. Please give your feedback on this idea or any suggestions to possibly improve it.

I already have two people signed up for this round, plus the subscriptees, but I'll wait a while for any "guests" who want to join. ;)

P.S. Please remember to send a copy of your word to me, as certain participants, namely toon, did not send me a copy (but I deduced his word from the previous and following posts)

Oh, sorry about that, sanchez. I must have been looking at the latest participant list when I wrote that. I've edited the post.
