I am a fluent speaker of Japanese and would enjoy the chance to play a Japanese-speaking character in-game. I can even help out with the translation to some extent.
When I first created my account a few months ago I emailed support to request a Japanese language character (as instructed on the new character page), but I didn't get any response.
Are there any other speakers of Japanese interested in this?

In some point there has been 5 people interested in playing in Japanese, while 4 is enough to start a language region, as long as someone is ready to translate and someone to advertize. The text about contacting PD "before" creating a character in some language that's on the list is a bit misleading in that they cannot allow a person to spawn a character in a language group that doesn't exist in Cantr. Since it wouldn't make much sense if one person was spawning characters in an environment where no one else could undertand them, or if the person was playing alone on some island. Also the interface needs to be translated. That's why there's a base requirement for players and translators and advertizement.
