I'm assuming that this is somehow related to cookie expiration. I have my forum settings set to automatically log me in when I click into the forum. However, once in a while, the whole thing flames out, forces me to manually log in, and when I get here, it has everything marked as read, which is a real pain in the ass. Does anyone else have this problem, and if it is a cookie expiration problem, can the cookie expiration period be significantly increased?
I guess I should clarify that "flames out" means that the login hangs indefinitely until I stop it and re-login. Today was the first time it skipped the hanging part before it forced me to manually login.

I experienced this problem on several other (PhpBB-) forums, but not on this forum (yet).
I suspect the hanging is more of a line problem (receiving bad data) than a cookie problem. When a cookie has expired you will receive the page correctly, but will not be logged in automatically.
Of course both situations can easily be resolved by simply logging in again.

Yep, I've been having the same problem but I usually remember who had the last post made on the forums I check (General and all of the suggestions) So I never had too much problems with it.. And I use Opera so logging in isn't that much of a problem neither.
I see you.
Now I don't.
Or do I?
Maybe I do,
maybe I don't..
Well, I guess I just don't.
