Tiamo, you can write a note and make copies. That's not much different from email. If everyone is online at the same time, you can speak with each other in Cantr. If people aren't online simultaneously, either speak and wait, or pass a note and wait (as opposed to send email and wait). The only advantage of OOC chat is the ability to make chat rooms, which would be like whispering to multiple recipients in Cantr.
By the way, chat is a very inefficient way to have a discussion. I look at chat transcripts and compare how much (how little) was said vs. how much time the whole chat took.
As for making decisions by committee, that takes a long time in RL too. That's why the military and other organizations that need to act quickly have top-down command structures, not one-person-one-vote Robert's-rule-of-order legislature.
Who plots to take over Cantr?

re
Seems to me someone could defenatly take over cantr or most of it,
I'm not planning but if I was the first thing I would need would be A couple of the largest vechiles which I believe are limos right??
So first I'd build say 4 limos then I'd gather up 4 leaders to lead my limo's
I'd go around kill everything and gather all the good resources the only problem with this is you'd then need to build boats after to travel to the islands and kill off as many as you could there also I don't think you could kill everytown but with a good reason for your followers to stay loyal I think you could defanatly piss alot of people off and I'd be more than willing to follo anybody with substantail wealth in anysuch plot simply for the RPGing experiance it would be fun.
Also I think personally the Blackrocks would desamate the Mcgregors in a war from my point of view anyways.

How does one go from bonking animals on the head with a bone club to thinking about ruling the world? Do you think (1) that he got the idea from his experiences of living in Cantr or (2) that he got that idea from OOC stories and history? I am betting on #2.
Eh, not really. As long as there have been farming and stable, long-term settlements, there have been empire builders....

I'm a mystic, play the cello, and run.

I'm relying on schizophrenia to give my character his motivation, creating probably the most unique world conqueror ever. The sheer uniqueness of his plan is, in fact, his greatest weapon.
