It is indeed broken again. Can we please move on to another irc network now? Gnug has had loads of problems for months now and it's obvious nobody cares enough anymore to maintain a stable server.

Lets just make a backup room somewhere for when it breaks down. Any suggestions.. We can make it private and password protected.
Password can be cantr.
I'm so bored waiting for it to come back on.
I've started a chat room up in http://java.freenode.net/. (thanks ceselb)Put your nick in and the name of room is #cantr. We should use this while IRC is sick.
Or if you are using HydraIRC type in irc.freenode.org as a server 6667
Now lets get chatting! I'm so bored!

www.ircatwork.com has a webclient for accessing, if you put irc.freenode.org into the server it should work.

Perhaps a switch would be in order, if Gnug is growing problematic. This would be a good discussion among the Communications Department, if it hasn't happened already. freenode probably would be a very good option.
If you all decide it's worth the switch, we'll try to get someone to update the links on our website.
