IRL, not many Johns in Saudi Arabia, nor many Abduls in Russia

Yeah and that would also make it possible for last names change if the chars get married or such.

Why not just... give the people a different name, and write it down? My name may be put down as "Anthony" but if I were suddenly to appear somewhere, say, with a Japanese culture - for example - I could just 'tell' everyone my name was "Eechii" and remember that, to indroduce to others.

Even better, have the option to change your characters name. Would help if you got married and had a last name change or something...

You can change a char's name after spawning. Just look at yourself in the 'people' page, and change the name just as you would any other char's.

I was hoping that would stay secret as long as possible, there are a few things you can do using to fool most players.

I usually just name my new charachters "a guy" or something, until I know where he is spawned...then I name them.

And to bring ths back to topic. I was quite sad to see a char mentioned in the game yesterday named Austin Powers.

I was just playing Mrsenglish (all i can call ya dont know yer name)

And yes that guy Austin Powers is a @#^@&$*!@^#@# in my chars opinion.

If the name was just Austin it would have been fine ooc.. im with everyone else on how people should create their own names. Although i have to admit i have used one or two names from a few books i have read. (this account, last account i had a few named after characters from a few books)

LOL you like that Temujin part, don't you? That's what Genghis Khan was called before he became famous.
