Lunar eclipse in progress

Postby sem » Thu Feb 21, 2008 3:25 am

Lousy seeing in Europe. Webcast from Argentina looks good. Worth taking a look outside if you have clear night skies where you are. There won't be another until 2010.

I watched it from my front room window....a perfect view. Awesome! You could see Saturn and Regulus more clearly when the moon was fully eclipsed.

Ohio, east coast US. Cold outside, but still watched. I Was outside nearly 2 hours. Wish I had a decent telescope so I could have seen the rings and Titan.
Binoculars did fairly well with the moon though.

2010 till next full eclipse.
At least we get full solar and a partial lunar still this year.

When you hope for something, you often believe in something. When you believe in something, you often have pride in it. Being proud often leads to a hating of some group.

It was cloudy where I was... and when I went out it was pretty dark outside. Coming home there was some moonlight, so I did experience the dark... kinda sorta
