It's nice we can drag resources now, and I put it to good use, but anytime you have an amount of anything more than 15k, you're stuck lifting and carrying, or in cantr terms:

Pick up
Enter room
Enter back room
Drop
Leave back room
Leave room
Pick up
... Rinse Repeat

Dragging just part of a larger pile would be fantastically helpful.

Another wonderfully helpful tweak would be after dragging, you don't return to the EVENTS page, but back to the OBJECTS page, just in case you had another resource you wanted to drag.

Dragging afaik isn't related to what you are carrying. I think the strongest chars can drag as much as 45k. Partial dragging has been suggested, and of course it's a good idea.

I remember Chris or someone in ProgD rejecting the idea of partial pile dragging, I think the reason was that piracy would become faster. Moving big piles is supposed to be difficult and time consuming, that's why in real life you would hire porters.

I think the most a single charrie can drag is either 35k or like 27k, i forgot. but its a lot, one of my charries can drag for over 20k, havent tested max weight yet though.

all i know is that a charrie can not drag 45k, i dont know what the max is, but a dead body weighs 45k and it is impossible for anyone to drag a newly dead body alone.

Why would a dead body weight 45 kg when a living body weights 60 kg? Unless you can quote an official source saying a body weights 45 kg, I'm going to assume it's in fact 60 kg. This topic should be rejected as a duplicate but I want to hear if this 45 kg information is true or not.

I can't confirm it because I can't remember where I learned it, but I do have a char drags over 40k...

Ability to drag live chars is not based just on strength but also on relative fighting skill of chars involved.

Heh, I've thought about that. Suppose a guy is standing, but is weak. You shove the guy, and he lurches forward to keep his balance. Repeat, and he will move a lot more than your own strength alone could drag him. You can try this in real life. Push someone (willing to help you with this thought experiment) who tries to stay on his/her feet. Next, have the person lie down and go limp. Try to drag him/her. I think you'll notice a big difference.

When dragging a live person, the system takes into account their skill and strength as well as yours, like already said...when dragging dead, it just takes your abilities and you are dragging 60 Kilograms, but the body decays over time. I don't remember the exact dragging range, but the top IS 45 kilograms that a single person can drag and I think (not sure) 7 kilograms is the least that can be dragged(of course being healthy and not tired). Your position in that range being decided by your skill and strength.

Question is, does it matter if the char being dragged holds nothing or the full 15 kilos?

I have no idea, i remember reading 45k somewhere on the forums months ago. for some reason, that number has always stuck in my head as the weight of a newly dead body, along with 15k+weight carried+str&fighting skill for live.
