(OOC: I agree. Normally day last at least 48 hours. Most of us have busy lives and need time to post. I just don't think that would be fair to everyone if night falls right now.)
a day without cantr, is a day spent in bed convulsing and suffering from withdrawl

((Well, the initial phase wasn't a day one per se; just an opportunity for people to ask questions and engage in a little light RP. As I said, I'm used to the game starting in the night stage.))

((Two people haven't even read their starting PM's :? Ah, I see; the thread was created originally in October... so one person has a good excuse for not replying [and can be removed/replaced/rejiggered if no one else steps forward] but the other does not.))

((Great. I'll give you one more RL night for me [about 8 hours]. Because, either everyone's orders are in and I'm just fooling with all of you, or everyone's orders are in minus one person and you need to choose someone.))

Feeling rather sheepish about its behavior during the twilight, the sun manages to rise at exactly the right rate this morning. But, unfortunately, the night took a bizarrely long time. No one was quite sure who to fine, so the case Sun v. Moon is currently pending before the Second Inferior Court of Associate Appeals for Socialdemocracitopia.

Now, where were we?

Oh, yes, the townspeople all wake up, for it is the start of a new day. They go about their morning commute. They eat their morning CommunitariFlakes (tm), a state-owned product. And they enter the town square, where a body is sitting. Well, if by "sitting" you mean "contorted in fear and pain after what appears to be a large quantity of molten gold has been shoved down his throat" and by "body" you mean "Bowser".

Whoops. Bowser has died. All just after reading the Washington Post and actually vaguely knowing something about contemporary American politics the twilight before.

Shame, really.

Well, it's time for the town to use the last vestige of conservatism it has: the DEATH PENALTY. Wooo!

Please, townspeople, begin discussion and choose someone to lynch (or use some other, less cruel-and-unusual punishment. Or more.)

((Please set off your official votes in boldface. The deadline for voting will be one full day after every townsperson has voted, to give you a day to change your mind. I would have you vote via instant runoff voting, but I won't be that cruel. Also, if it starts taking ridiculous amounts of time, I'll cut off the voting.))

Dogonabun looks down at the corpse, muttering while he bites into his government-endorsed, totally organic apple, bought from starving farmers in Canada. "What a waste of all that organic material.. I assume we'll have to put him into an eco-friendly burial chamber, right?" He sighs. "The redundant department of redundancy department of death-tax will have to tax this corpse a fine of $500 for causing a mess all over this floor."

Man down! *he looks down at the body in horror and snaps his head to Dogonabun* Waste of organic material? Are you for real?! Is that what you think of a fellow member of democracy? Just carbon compounds? *he frowns deeply and growls under his breath*

*he grimaces, shivering as he moves next to Bowser’s body. He shakes his head* Burials later. I want Bowser here.. *he holds his breath, looking away as he lifts Bowser’s body onto a chair, propping him upright*

Here, he will be a reminder to all of you the gravity of our situation at hand. *he narrows his eyes* We must avenge Bowser’s death, for we have Libertarians in our midst and they were the only ones who could have done this. Perhap’s with Bowser’s body here, they will come forth with guilt eventually.
