Perhaps we could pick a single local time everyone can agree upon and then have that be the time for all the groups. The biggest problem though, is that the English and Spanish zones cover a considerable amount of timezones, and it could potentially bias one side or another in cross-zone conflicts.

The game could add 100 minutes twice per day, up to a total max of 200. The two reset times would be 12 hours apart.

hey! who made me create this topic? lol

yeh I didn't forget about you guys...that's why I never really made it like a suggestion but just a question.

but the 12 hour thing might be a good idea.

edit: so, I have chars on English zone and portuguese zone....ahm...so? wouldn't it all mix? Maybe instead of making it by zone we should make it by the nationality people put on their account?

I never have enough time to play for long enough for my minutes to run out, but I wouldn't really mind when if it was changed.

Exactly
Plus it would nicely split the lag.
FOR

About the 12-hour minutes, I'm afraid it would just feed the lag - you'll have minute-reset lag twice, not once, a day. For system it's just the same if it's giving the variable a value of 200 or of 100.
And think about people playing juct once a day - they'll have only 100 minutes instead of 200...

Could a person change their country and get their minutes reset several times a day?

Both of those things wouldn't happen. Either everyone gets updated simultaneously, which would add lag. Or every person is individually incremented upon login, in which case the 100 vs. 200 minutes becomes an issue. But both wouldn't happen, as far as I can tell. They are mutually excusive.
