Oh, so the Soviet Union and modern day China and Cuba are communistic?

Lad never was, nor never meant to represent anything to do with socialism.

And if Marx's theories had been put to use by a country that wasn't corrupted to begin with (Marx intended his theories to be instituted by a firm established country and meant for them to be the next step up from capitalism) then our society wouldn't be permeated with the negative views of socilism that we have today.

And as far as being fair, well, it's not as if communism is the only form of government that is very...top heavy...don't forget that in the US 10% of the people control 90% of the wealth.

I actually see some sort of workers revolution (is the situation in the states doesn't change) happening within the next century, for example, right now in the US the minimum wage is 5.15/hr, but if you take into account inflation and cost of living, then the minimum wage would have to be about 7.50/hr to actually provide even a decent standard of living for the people working for min wage. The gap between the rich and the poor has continued to grow in this country and it seems that people are oblivious as to what it could lead to, they are too busy thinking it could never happen, and when it does happen I'm willing to bet that it's going to be something at least loosly based on socialism that takes the place of todays gov, you'll notice that I didn't include if in that, like all things it is only a matter of time before it happens, and I think it's coming closer, faster with all the production jobs and such moving oversees because they can get away with paying a chinese worker about 20 cents for every dollar they have to pay domestice employees. Sooner or later something will give, the proof is in front of everyone's faces, it's just that no one is paying attention because the situation isn't bad enough for people to take notice, it won't be that bad til it's to far gone to fix.

hmmm...I gotta start smacking myself when I ramble....

*DIES*...

I thot I explained what I was saying in the series of posts following, I never SAID THAT LAD WAS COMMUNISTIC, [tho in Naron such is occuring like such] and rather it was just a method to deal with the projects page crisis

China, Cuba and North Korea are the last communist states left in the world, and within 20 years it'll probly be only N. Korea (Castro will be dead within a few more years, and China is beginning to relaxe and enjoy the fruits of capitalism), if we don't bomb them back into their caves by then.

But it isn't a method to deal with the projects page crisis, the lack of a trashed projects pages in Lad is a result of the gov in power, not the reason the gov was born.

It's a science fiction series, from what I've heard it's good, but I've never watched it...cant' interact with the TV so I get bored with it fairly quickly and dont' watch much.

Oh, I'm going to the special hell for this. Sorry, Thomas, but, NiTe, you can download Firefly here....

Don't ask to many questions. Just download and watch. Make sure you start at the one named Serenity (aired version).

This includes projects.....that are indoor as well?

Not really.

It counted each place individually. A single room in a building could have made the list.

Any chance of just going through the DB and purging anything that hasn't been worked on in weeks or months?

Seems almost like the game needs some sort of timeout on idel projects that just take them off the list after a certain period of time - realistically if you left a quarter-picked bushel of carrots sitting on the ground for a year you wouldn't come back to find anything edible there...

I found a building that was started in the 100's, had all the stone added, and was 50% complete... needless to say, I now have a new house with minimal effort.

Yeah - building's I don't think are quite as big a deal... it's all the damn food/materials projects that usually make up the biggest mess....

There's a practical reason to cleaning up stale prjects too as it just speeds everything up and reduces some of the load on the DB/server.

One of the first things my Ad Astra did in Pok was finish the Bowen Manor. Never got any use of it, though. Left for the desert and never came back. What's it used for these days?

It would be nice if we had a feature that would take all projects that are say a cantr year old (20 days) and drop thier contents on the ground.

So if a carrot project is 50% done 50% of what it was intended to do drops to the ground after a cantr year.

Or after a year the project starts to unwind itself. Meaning that the percetage decreases until it hits zero where it can be cleaned up.

Old projects are a valuable way to see what way going though peoples minds years ago for the abondoned locations.

For the big city locations it represents a society in decline.

Communism is an idea, not a government... IMO
It has never existed in its intended form.
