Lent

Postby Cheshierekat » Fri Mar 12, 2004 6:39 am

I don't participate in Lent, but I have to wonder...did anyone give up Cantr for Lent? Poor souls.

This is true, and mighty inconvenient it has been for me.

The trouble with giving up cantr for lent (withdrawl issues aside) is that cantr requires upkeep...if you give up Cantr you're like to find your characters dead when you come back.

Bah to that.

Giving up cantr is like giving up air. You just couldn't function.

The whole idea is sacrifice... Cantr is perfect for that, Heh. I'm not Catholic, one of my sisters (and her family (a brother-in-law, and a nephew) are.

well, uh.... I am not catholic, so guess i really have nothing to say here huh? IF i was though, I might give up alcohol, or chocolate. But then, if i gave up chocolate, I would miss out on all the "Cadbury Creame Eggs" they sell everywhere for easter. I LOVE those, I couldnt give them up.

You could buy them afterwards though for 75% off. Call me cheap, but that's what I do.

I might know someone to sacrifice... I though the Christian one was a forgiving and peaceful kind of god... :?

Meh. Personal sacrifice, moreso than human sacrifice.

But yeah.

My girlfriend's Catholic. Therefore I take Lent more seriously than I perhaps would normally.

ROFL @ Human Sacrifice... erm... no its like the Islamic concept of Jihad or inner struggle or even more like Ramadan (month long of fasting during daylight hours), or Gandhi and fasting. Most religions have some form of Sacrifice, or at least in symbolism. Catholics, Jews, and Muslims tend to have more fasting and and official days of self-sacrifice than Protestants.

you know, we could start some for of sacrifice in Cantr.... we got goats... lets kill a goat and read its entrails.. we could then devine the future events on Cantr. Like maybe the minutes will finally reset....

or we could sacrifice a sheep and give its blood to the Cantr gods so that they will make the minutes reset.....

Or how about a cow, we could sacrifice a cow and eat its heart raw, then we would have enough power to reset the minutes ourselves..

oh look, just discussing sacrifice has caused the minutes to reset.

If someone who could hold no more kills and animal everyone could witness the amount of grams on the ground.

An entrail reading based on the number of grams could be divised.
