It's been awhile, but something I was thinking about today and decided to post. I think his name was Tam, in Kiii Desert. Well-played and interesting character. His death struck my char as tragic, but also as a player. Sucks that he died by mere moments... I don't think I've witnessed another death in which the char woke up and tried to grab food in the few minutes between reaching 100% hunger and falling to starvation.

Sonja of Ladvicitavoi Forest died that way, but she was starving herself. She walked outside, sat down against a tree, and one minute later died of starvation, i believe.

Yea, I have seen chars use that time between as their "death scene" but it seemed this guy was trying to save himself. He ran to the storage building and picked up food, but the eating tic had just passed moments before.

Has it ever been suggested that characters be given the ability to eat nourishing food at will (i.e., with the "eat" button) when their hunger is above 0%?

It was suggested to make possible eating food at wil, for roleplaying reasons, in way visible to others. But in numbers somehow limited, to prevent sabotage newspawn from eating whole town supply of food just to be annoying. In my opinion hunger rules are good now, no need to make changes about that. But it will be nice to have more changes roleplaying with food and drinks.

it is very hard to not eat in 20 days and didnt notice that, and then try to eat just in 45 minuts between last hunger tick and death of char from hunger, when char can't do anything.

I checked a very sleepy character one day by accident, and he was at 99% hungry. Talk about panic! Thank goodness I saved him, he's probably my most active and beloved charrie once again.

i generally do a run through of all the charries my charries like every 3 days or so to see if they look hungry. if they do, ill give them like 5 days worth of food.

I remember some player killing his account. turns out i had three charries in the same locations as his... it all went:

I hate that.
