Pastry dough from rye and sorghum flour
Many regions dont have wheat, but rye or sorghum. Although, we can only make bread of those. I thing the possibility to make pastry dough (and from this, cookies, pizza, pies, etc) would be very nice and should increment RP.

Actually I agree. Although irl rye dough is usually used only for salty pastries and it looks different from wheat dough, Cantrians have no sense of taste so there might as well be different ways to make pastry dough. I'm not sure how sorghum would work out irl, but anyway pastries are supposed to have a thin crust so it wouldn't matter if it doesn't rise. Wheat still has a bigger range of stuff that can be made out of it so allowing pastry dough to be made of rye or sorghum wouldn't make the economy collapse.
I think one problem of Cantr is that the meals are based on stuff that is common and easy to make irl because the ingredients can be bought from the store or at least farmed in one's home country. But in Cantr, one island might have two locations with wheat and another one might have only rice and rye, so a lot of recipes are ruled out by the lack of resources. Irl if people discovered wheat was nutritious and has a wide range of uses, they would clear fields into where ever they moved and plant the grains there. But in Cantr if a resource isn't native to a location, you can't make it grow there no matter what.

IMHO, make complex foods more flexible would be very positive. For example: I have chars in 3 islands, and i never seen barley nor tomatos. Of course, make some meals "exclusive" have some good points, but in the way it is now, it is some locations are condemned to eat smoked meat forever.

I don't think rye's good for pastry dough irl, but I do like the idea of producing the same ingredient with more than one resource.
Rossato, many of the recipes have been made in response to requests from players based on what's available to their chars. You can pm me a list of resources in your region with too few prep methods if you like.

mmm...Karelian pies.... *drools*
The only argument I would have against this would be the massive size of the dropdown list. We might have room to squeeze sorghum in there and leave rye out. It will give sorghum another option. We still need to add mämmi production from rye.

How about barley? It's also a grain and can be used to make bread....
