Jos! I want a autograph! I bet it is worth millions
But taking into account of the depreciation of players so is the autograph depreciated. So Assets (players) - Liablities (other games people betray you to) = Owners Equity (the cost of your autograph).....
Well as long as I still love ya deprieciation doesn't matter.

Let me spend less of my time waiting for pages to load (yes, I've been moaning about it for months now, but the time it takes to load pages is still _horribly_ slow) and I'll have more time for clicking links.
At the moment, every time I log into Cantr, I spend time cursing the page-loads for being so slow. Not only does that leave me less time to want to spend voting, it also puts me in the sort of mood where I want to vote against the game instead of for it, as it winds me up.
And to add to the annoyance, there are many areas where the interface could be improved to speed things up (ever tried dragging 10 items to a building? You can't drag all ten at once, and after each one, it return you to the events page so you've then got to click back to the objects page for the next one, and reselect the building you were dragging to - and you can't choose to drag 30000 out of 84520 potatoes either for example). And still no button to add (<CANTR>) to people's names. And still have to cancel projects before I can leave an area as it can't just cancel them for me. And can only Show All (which takes forever to load) - no option just to show Last Day or Last Hour or Last Five Days... etc etc. All these annoyances just cause me to need more page loads, and exacerbate the problem.
Given the speed is still awful, I've killed a young character that hadn't achieved much; another one will die very soon from starvation because I've stopped their farming project and abandoned my plans for them; another one is on the Omeo island and will die from animal attacks anyway before long and I only keep him alive so he can distribute his map and hopefully make it "home" before he dies. That's three down, and I expect I'll kill a fourth soon, and a fifth will have to find a remote place to live, or I'll kill him too, leaving just my older or more interesting characters left. And one by one, as they die off, I shan't bother replacing them unless the speed's improved, since at the moment, this game frustrates me whenever I log in and compare it to the almost instantaneous page loads of other games that I play. I anticipate that instead of 10 or 11 characters I made it to briefly, I'll be down to four or five soon, and getting gradually lower. And the less I play, the less I enjoy it, the fewer votes you'll get from me.

PS _and_ the Forum's damn slow too. That's why I'm only on here to moan, because I don't have patience to wait for it to load for anything else.

0800 GMT
1200 GMT
1500 GMT
1700 GMT
2000 GMT
2200 GMT
and even now at 0034 GMT.
What's the good time of day to pick!?

It's nowhere near as bad as it was at the laggiest times - so I don't mean it's a dreadful as it was then.
It just takes a second or two, rather than a fraction of a second, to load many of the pages. It's not taking fifteen minutes for a page any more, but still often takes seconds, sometimes over five seconds for a single page. This, coupled with the extra numbers of clicks needed to do some simple tasks, makes it really annoying compared to other games where the pages load in about a tenth of a second.
It's certainly improved compared to earlier in the year, but it's never ever really been as fast as I'd have hoped.
Eg, at 0034 yesterday, most pages loaded in half a second, but then there'd be one that would take about ten or twenty seconds to load suddenly.
Perhaps my expectations are just higher than those of other people...

We're going to get busted at Ultimate Game Directory i think. At the beginning of the week Cantr was 300 votes ahead, yesterday it was 150 votes ahead, today it's less that 100 votes ahead.

I sort of like reading these rants.. as i feel a bit agitated by it too! The lack of lag made cantr a breath to play during the summermonths but now it seems something in the code has changed that brought it back. I think i'm wasting 50 real minutes each day waiting for pageloads, what also strikes me is the pageloadtimer at the bottom showing nonsense. One time it will seem fine and the next instant it will show like 12.463 seconds taken when it clearly took over a minute.

Doesn't really matter...What does is that we stay at first place most of the time now.
