Technically, the second post wasn't bad, but.. everyone would understand the first one if I'd left it as it were... So it was still revealing to anyone with half a mind that followed the thread. I tried to think of a way to reword it, but I couldn't, because as you said, it was a fact. And even if I deleted the first one completely, the quote within the second one would give away the same information that the first one did in one sentence. Sorry.

Two of my characters were moving along the coast a bit (but not together, on different sides of the island) and have found countless amounts of cracked vehicles. To accentuate the pirate activity, the first one of these characters has a motorbike and left it briefly in a coastal location, with no people around. When he came back, the lock was gone. So there must be several ships of people with crowbars going alongside the coast, breaking into anything if there's no witnesses and stealing what ever is worth something. But they won't touch primitive stuff like animal resources so they're picky. Also they don't steal the longboats. Now this might do a funny thing to the culture of the island since any poor savage could wander by and get to choose from several carts and longboats and dinghies, maybe even bigger vehicles if you're lucky. So it might turn out like the free bike thing on Treefeather island, no locks allowed - except that on Omeo island it's more like there's no mind in building a lock because it's only going to be broken. It might be wiser to leave your lock open if you leave your vehicle unguarded because then they could go in and check that there's nothing worth stealing, then leave. But with my luck some newspawn who could never even dream of getting a crowbar would wander by and think hey, a free vehicle! So it's a dilemma, use a lock, protect your property from savages UNTIL the pirates break in, or protect your lock from the pirates but have double chance of someone stealing the vehicle itself. There might be over-abundance with bike carts and longboats so people might not be interested in those, but a motorcycle is a different thing. I'm just hoping fuel gets implemented soon so that I can empty the gas tank before going out, good luck stealing my bike with no fuel, savages!

Hmmm. I wonder if the arrival of pirates on Omeo is in any way my fault. :?
I just wonder where the pirates got the directions of how to get there if they didn't already know. This is where my char may be to blame.

(Just a series of circumstances involving my char's interactions with what i suspect now to be pirates, but didn't realise at the time)
