Just as we would assume the key with with the lowest figure is the oldest, so would the people of Cantr. Heck, there's a first time for everything, so why not finding the oldest key. IMHO I think there's a certain inevitability for things like these to happen, so why not let it happen now? This could've happen even before this oldest key idea was public in the forums; someone could've wondered about the oldest key before anyone else. Would it still be a CRB even then for it to be attempted?Zanthos wrote:I'll pay good steel for key #1
or i would, if it wouldnt be a crb to hunt it down oocly just to own it.

Actually, would a hunt for the oldest key even be a crb? It kind of, like has been said, a hunt for the holy grail. Everyone knows about the existance of keys, and everyone knows that for some reason the keys all have a number that corrosponds to the lock they open. So therefore everyone should know that there was a first key to be made, which has the number 0001.
That said, I think one of my charries will soon embark on an epic journey to find the first key ever made!
(god, i hope its not in PZ)
btw: would it be too much to ask if we can get a general locale (as in, the language zone) of said key? just so i dont devote my charries life to an unachievable goal...

The Polish zone didn't even exist when Cantr started so I'd say there's more of a chance of the key being English or Dutch, especially since when locks were implemented people could dig iron straight from the ground. Sure the key must've passed through many hands but I'd throw a guess it's lying in some back room or on a ghost ship.

I went through a period of inactivity (which many of my charries never lived through
) But every time I got the warnings about deletion I signed myself in to rescue them! But I couldn't face reviving them, mainly due to a really stupid thing I said IG after I'd got pretty drunk and thought "Hey, what's happening on Cantr?" I don't remember exactly what happened now, but I know it wasn't pretty.
Anyway, I suppose that means my charries went into a sort of alcohol induced coma.
