I downloaded the stuff needed for the boradcasting. Now is there a way to actually test to see if works before actually going live? I know my microphone works with the sound recorder program that I have with windows. Would that mean it would work with this stuff?

And also; is there a way to have more than one person on at the same time to have live discussions and for people to make a live call in or whatever you would call it in this case or can it only be one person brodcasting at a time?

You mean something like confrencing, something to that effect, so more than one person can talk at once, but i'm sure you could, but that might not work out. You may always be interrupting eachother.. if you get what i mean.

You can test it by setting up a server (or *someone* sets up a server, and you connect) (replae *someone* with someone ;) *g*, sorry). After that you ask someone to tune in, and he/she will listen if everything comes trough... That's the way I mostly tested everything.

Multicasting isn't possible with the dsp plugin for winamp itself, but setting up the dsp plugin correct, you can webcast all the sounds on your pc. With that in your mind, you could use some kind of program as 'teamspeak', or what more ppl are used to: msn. Then you could talk to each other, and webcasting this conversation :). Oh, and this 'dsp plugin' is the extra tool used to connect to the shoutcast server.

I'll talk to Jos, hope he's in a good mood 8).

Uhmm... I think not.

The best (easiest) way to have a life "discussiun" is having ppl in the "studio" or at the phone via a speaker.

Yup, and you would need someone to listen in to tell you if he can connect, if sounds ok etc...

[edit (didn't see it )]

Well, they might seem the easiest method... but a few things:

1) how do you get 2 cantr players together
2) do you have a soundcard with two mic inputs, ánd do you have two soundcards
3) i don't know how to hookup your phone with the computer, ánd i don't want to give out my home phonenumber (due to that i live with my parents...)[/edit]

What do you mean by that?

Or do you mean computer... Yeah, ofcourse... Just go to the URL and check it thru any other computer...

Don't have experience broadcasting using shoutcast tho. (or any other medium :p)

/edit: too late... strange, according to the log I'm 2 minutes late, but I typed the mssg in 30 secs...

You've set up a server _somewhere_? Can please explain what you've done? Or maybe on msn (if you have), so I can easily help you, w/out making this topic rubish...?

[edit]Oh, argh, I see you have aim :(. I'll setup aim for myself, and talk to you there, ok? Or contact me trough pm...[/edit]

*deep voice* One man...One Journey...One Emperor...One Land...One Death...this summer, in theatres... Now back to our regularly programmed Cantr affiliated music.

-Sounds like one sound idea =D

-But what type of music?
