From what I've seen and heard, nothing you do matters. Eat a lot or a little or nothing; the sickness lasts as long as it lasts. Wearing warm clothes doesn't prevent it. Avoiding other people is no guarantee, though I still have a little hope that that may reduce chances of catching it. Do dead bodies or dung matter? Maybe they do, but they certainly aren't necessary.

So who thought this would add fun to the game? Come on, 'fess up.

Meh, one of my characters has some significative clues, too bad he'll forget them soon as he's ageing prematurely. :P

Anyway, is our fault we aren't roleplaying more the scientific investigation for a cure. Since it goes away fast we can just say, well, it doesn't matter and it's just annoying.

Perhaps it would be more entertaining if it was a chronic but light disease, like, eating 10% more food, or regaining tiredness 20% slower, until you are cured and inmunized. Also, preparred medicines could have the opposite effect, decreasing the need of food for a while, or regaining tiredness faster.

Tho, in high doses, some of them could have other undesirable side effects.

Fortunately, my character seems to have gotten over the sickness. My main fear was that it would last for years or even forever.

LOL!
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."

Getting fat...

Postby TerribleTadpole » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:28 am

1993-1.06: You ate 250 grams of your potato chips.
1992-1.06: You ate 480 grams of your potato chips.
1991-1.06: You ate 80 grams of your potato chips.

Surely there should be some sense of proportion! How is it possible to eat six days worth of food in a single day? If you tried that in real life you would end up dead!

You are preaching to the choir. Isn't it time to call it what it is and abort this disaster? Or, at least let us all understand some benefit if it exists hidden beyond all observations our chars have made in closing on a year?

There are two bug reports on this issue in Flyspray too: unassigned and unactioned...

And yet, the main page links to it.

Yea, another little thing that hasn't been gotten to yet, though I thought for some reason it had.

I created a new character recently that spawned in a location with lots of big and dangerous animals. There was no food to be gathered there either. Bad enough, right?

There happened to be a Mr. Nice Guy who gave my character 4 days worth of food, but guess what? My character wolfed it down in one gulp and was still hungry. Oh yeah.....and this all happened within an hour of spawning. Feeling faint came a few hours later.

This overeating illness has never made much sense to me, but to have a brand spanking newspawn infected with it....

My char felt a little faint ate all his carrots ( that sucks!) and bla bla but the strange thing is that the char got attacked twice by the same animal on the same day!

2013-1.18: És atacado por um(a) um escaravelho, e perdes 11 por cento de energia.

2013-1.18: És atacado por um(a) um escaravelho, e perdes 9 por cento de energia.

Lost 20 energy in that day...How can they attack twice? Or was it just a bug?

Although animals are presented in packs and you can only hit the pack once a day, the animals inside the pack are still individuals and they each have a chance to attack a person. It would be more shady if there was only one animal in town and still two attacks, but that would probably mean that there was another animal that travelled elsewhere right after attacking.
