The only way that could possibly happen is through pure anarchy, which correctly insues, however as we are so used to being within a system, from without one we don't know what to do, loot awile, there's a mass spate of rioting and murders, then a few people get there hands on the suddenly unprotected nukes left over and hey presto everyone's dead

They're now remapped to shut down the current active window. It's less annoying than rebooting. Oh and you get Tourette's syndrome so you feel forced to hit the keys when you're working on something that can't be restored.

I wish my townspeople would be more active (in a way that's not harmful to me).

Granted, you get your old account back and everything is like it used to be - except that big bunch of people get pissed because everything that happened between now and then has ceased to exist. This leads into loads of people quitting and suddenly there's no hot chicks around, only boring ones played (poorly) by men.
