This is a real problem, yes. Since the newspawn mortality rate is so very high, nobody will care much until you're a bit older. I didn't do a lot of RPing, but I tried to stay awake and be helpful. Don't expect to be given any important task or valuable tool until atleast a couple of years (Sad but true).
Can't give you much help, since I got ignored pretty much until age 25 myself.

Different places carry different opportunities. The key is other players. If you get a circle of loyal friends, you can accomplish just about anything in Cantr.

All depends on where you spawn.....

Location is a biggie. I spawned in a thriving port town and I was given a steel rapier and iron shield right-off. Of course, I shipped with a generous privateer.

Correct. Group of 5 of us in some desolate place are achieving insane and incomprehendable dominance-related results from teamwork.. including defeating a 70-year-old tyrant who killed people who didn't speak English.
Nakranoth's "evil" character says:
"Thief! That's terrible! *shakes his head* That would hurt people's feeling if I did that."

I hate this thread!
Since it appeared i've noticed many young chars suddenly sucking up to the leaders.

(='.'=) This is Bunny. Copy and paste bunny into your

 Well at least we know they are following some of the others advice. Lets hope they don't start trying to kill the leaders and become the new ones like a few o here suggested.

Have anyone here suggested sucking up? I wouldn't want to work for someone who would fall for that. Being helpful and alert is quite different from sucking up, imo.
Though I must say I haven't tried, neither will I anytime soon.
