Weapons effect on animals

Postby mrsE » Sat Mar 06, 2004 5:51 pm

I can understand that my hunting bow will not kill a moose or a gorilla but since the latest tweek, 100 % on the hunting bow only hurt a turkey 22 strength. That seems a bit weird to me...
Are we seeing an inflation in the strength of the weapons and if so why?

Check your strength, if your too weak you wont hurt an animal so much. And a gorila and moose are pretty tough.

hunting bow has always been 22 damage, i believe...

when you hurt an animal, the life they lose is not measured in percentage, but in human life points. a turkey has a lot less than 100 hit points before it dies. that one is probably nearly dead now.

Still does not make sense to me. I had the same 100 % health before whe I killed turkeys with one shot.

Maybe someone had already hit the turkey before and you just finished it off?

Yes, hunting bows have always dealt 22 damage, at least as far as I can remember. I doubt turkeys have been changed, so the first turkey must have been injured.

I noticed a change with Hunting Bows, and hell, ALL weapons myself as well. I think you hit harder as your character ages, perhaps? That's what seemed to have happened. My chracter aged a year, and now hits harder.

That. Or I'm WAYYYYY off.

I'm betting I'm off ^.-

Umm from what I noticed, practice brings perfection with yer weapon. Turkeys I noticed had their total hp changed, I do believ.

I don't think practice has anything to do with it, Nitefyre.
