Hawks? So that is what the people mentioned...
0% is impossible. You ALWAYS have a chance. Even if its very very slim.
I can't believe I did this...

Not wishing to fill up the topic with a discussion over an event that happened ages ago.
There was a chance before he got locked up and that was the girl that he'd escorted to the town under his protection -ironically- from the other mountain hawks. But unfortunately she fell asleep when he could have done with her support (or she went into a building or something, can't remember exactly).
Without her support then he didn't have a defence and because of the nature of the other members, the town didn't believe him that he wasn't part of the murderous group.
Which gave him precisely 0% chance or hope.
And that leads me nicely back on topic. Yes that pissed me off immensely at the time.
But then i suppose you can call it realistic that the town judged me by the group i belonged to and not by who i was individually.

Doh, I knew that thrill once but it was intense too.
He was a newspawn character, with a lot of expert knowledges, though, imprisoned for questioning the local ruler's taste for name picking, but as the interchange of letters with the guardian and the ruler advanced, then hunger strikes, then other prisoners coming in and being killed, then death threats on him, then direct violence, he got more and more involved.
Things went to being one hit away from death, while sending letters outside to make people rebel against the local ruler. Those letters are quite known now there.
Somehow, though the bloody guardian was ready to kill him, and he finally revealed as the main but not only plotter of the violence, the ruler changed his mind in the last hours and let my character build a stone room in exchange for exile. He oddly kept the word, just to be easily killed later by some freemen that caught the story during their travels.
I still find quite amazing that he got through that and lived to be now a peaceful sage man devoted to growing and studying herbs.

The first time I had a character become a thief I was shaking. I know its not epilepsy, due to the fact that I've gone to crazy parties and been fine. I think after a certain point, you become overly attached to your character. It felt like I was the one doing the stealing, and that MY ass was gonna get beat when they finally caught me. To the say the least, I don't make many thief characters for this reason. Lovers are just as bad for me... too much drama some times. The best RP I've ever had lays with the thief and lover... but just wow is that time consuming and stressful.

For me, RPing is sort of like acting. To know what my charries would do and say I have to read over old events and get inside their head. Though I've often found myself getting really heated up IRL over something happening in game beacause I kind of lose myself in the character. Then again, that's what I think makes good RP. Except that a lot of the time they're not quite as good with English as I am, so the there's and your's get mixed up a bit. I only notice AFTER I press enter, unfortunately.
Most of my characters are based around my emotions and the different frames of mind I've been in at the time I spawned them, but that's not to say that they're all clones of each other. Some I've created on really bad days, others on particularly good days. One I spawned when I was feeling pretty confused and depressed and they turned out to be the most like my day to day self out of any of the others.

This has happened to me once.
Due to previous lag (which was so much worse than the current situation, which is fine, but people still bitch about)
I was desperately trying to leave a location, but I kept getting the 'Unavailable' screen.
Had that 'heart in mouth' feeling for a few minutes. Then I did a final refresh attempt and my character was no more.
Then comes the shaking. It's a standard response for an adrenaline come-down...

Once there was this terrible lag and I see a guy walk in from the coaster harbour, he's carrying a crowbar and is armed to the teeth. I'm thinking if that's a pirate then holy crap. But it just keeps giving a white page, can't do anything about it. Fortunately it turned out to be a nice person, apparently a bit nutty but we managed to talk him into giving up most of his weapons before letting him go.

I get this very slightly in Cantr, but only on occasions.
I am happy when they do things that make them happy. I am sad when they are sad, and so on, but only to a small degree.
I did very nearly buy a planer in the hardware shop the other day as I was convinced I needed one, until I remembered it was just that one of my Cantr characters needed one
But the adrenaline I've not got in Cantr much - mainly because there is little that can cause you serious harm, and what there is takes a long time to play out.
Compared to War of Empires, it's nothing. In that game, things move a lot faster, and you can log in to find yourself under attack, and having just seconds to rebuy troops, get gold, get help from clan members, sell goods and either attack back or get ready for the second attack straight after. Alternatively, you can be sitting in a very vulnerable position for hours, just praying you don't get attacked before you're safe. This is really adrenaline city... and it does happen a little in Cantr. But because people can only attack once a day; because you are rarely in fights unless your characters seek them out; because other than fighting there is little to cause you harm, there's less to get worked up about.
I find Cantr positively calming compared to War of Empires, which is good for me, but certainly getting adrenaline over a computer game is nothing strange!
And similarly to HF, one of my worst adrenaline moments was when the computer crashed just as I'd emptied my banks into the open and was about to buy something - a bit like in Cantr if you'd just put 10kg of iron on the floor in a busy town full of enemies, and then the computer crashed!
