Another Newspawn?

Postby Joshuamonkey » Tue Jun 19, 2007 1:17 am

Not trying to break the CR here, but for discussion purposes:

After AJ's death, I was thinking of just leaving the character slot open (15 characters is a bit much) But recently I've been considering the possibility  of creating the ideal newspawn to the Cantr society.
But, what type of Newspawn does Cantr really need?

1. Just trying to live my life completely from my experiences in game and my surroundings? (I know many of you are thinking: Yes! Of course you should do that!) And just hope that I end up somewhere interesting?

2. A super-genius newspawn thief that thinks 100% for himself?
AKA Gingerbread Man 8)

3. The perfect citizen, caring only for the town and well-being of others?

4. Try to be a better and smarter Felin? In other words, take over a town, and successfully lead an empire, constantly growing to one day consume the island? (Yeah, I know that might be a little hard...)

5. Role-play as a very odd or funny character? I'm not sure what I'd do for this one, but I could probably think of something...

Yes! If there would be a funny char it would be great. I haven´t meet anyone, yet. I have thinked about creating a funny guy who knows nothing and does nothing (some leaders won´t like him but I don´t care about it). I play Cantr for role-playing. So I don´t want to have a super-good char who doesn´t make any mistakes and tries to be everyones friend and so on. It is so damn boring!
In my opinion numbers 2, 3, 4 are quite same... :)

Yeah...I think I could make an even better combination of some of them, or all of them! :P

Edit: Wow, really some competition between 1 and 5. I'll be the one person to vote for 2 8) Who voted for other and didn't post?

I was the first to vote for four. I rather liked Felin, even if I did take joy in learning she had been killed.

What? My char visited her town for a while once, and while he respected her ability to lead and make decisions, after he learned she was going to expand her empire, he was scared his home was on the 'list of towns to take over'.

So upon learning she had died, he was happy because his home was safe.

Can't argue with that one...lol

For me it was my town that she took over in the beginning...

Edit: Yay! Number 4 is doing well! Although it's a vote of like 15 people...lol, apparently many people are still looking for something really big to happen....and well..evil.

He is born! (actually, like more than a week ago)

It's interesting where he landed...where his hunting and fighting skills keep him alive!

Perhaps he could attempt to fulfill one of the random culture ideas we whiners made in another thread? ;)

Had to vote 3, since that is what atleast some of my chars are trying to do (without much success).
But a little of 3, 1 and 2 (in that order) would be good.

Aww, that's what a lot of my old characters are anyway, with the difference being that they're leading the town, not just being a citizen of it.
My characters seem to not go so well with being highly involved in a town where there is someone ranking above them. AJ's death was a good example of that, and Doryiskom doesn't count.

Honestly, we need more of your sub-average intelligence peeps who are out there trying to make ideals work. As in the correct ideals of a region, not OOC ideals... So I'm torn between 1 and 3.

I am playing a few that do everything for their town and they usually get what they want plus things they never even ask for.

My super-genius newspawn thieves no matter how smart died.
Easier said then done.

Never tried the take over town thing.

I am currently playing all but the super-genius newspawn thief and town conqueror.
