a bar on limit of charries...

Postby mtm21 » Wed Jul 11, 2007 11:15 pm

Well there is alot of addicted players out there.... sometime the only way to escape is to delete the whole account and never return again.... I suggest you can bar your own limit of charries so you don't feel the urge to create another one... Then most players wont fully quit..... I'm sorry for those people who know I am on night shift IG... I admit I have an addiction to Cantr and it is affecting my sleep to be able to work straight... Darn it! It is worse than someone on the pokies except I am on cantr other than 2 hours of sleep and work time... I believe most old players have left because they are scared if they kill charries through PD off they might create another one. Barring like the pokies would be good... I'll give it one week until wednesday or I will be just like those old players.. :( (I'm sorry) Barring is the best idea to keep people who are addicted limited... Oh on a limit of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15... would be good points. Make it that you have to contact the PD to higher or lower your limit so the PD don't have to monitor it..

I hope you don't quit. You wouldn't happen to play Britney Spears would you?

I take your point MTM. I've limited myself to 6 chars, but I know how the numbers can creep up in slack times.
If it's not too difficult to implement, then I'm all for it.

Agree. I'm also addicted and out of control.

Another "good" strategie for controlling the nunber of players could be to have available a button "bye bye cruel world" for characters older than 30 or so.
Older characters tend to be the ones that occupies more time. If you could kill or let them die instantaneously (and not through and antinatural and/or long process of starving or killing himself with an axe), it would be really easier to control reduce your workload.

Killing your own characters without having to starve them or use violence or make a request to PD is a whole another suggestion, but if people wanna talk about that then I think it would be better to have a countdown after clicking the button instead of it killing the character instantly, because if you want to RP, you would have to do it before clicking the button and if you haven't clicked it yet, other people could convince you to change your mind. This would lead into more attention seekers who act like their character is going to die and then oops, I changed my mind. Repeat after a few years.
