Dietys and Gods

Postby buddyhall » Thu Jul 12, 2007 3:22 am

What about devine intervention and stuff
Ok this is kinda a really radical idea and stuff so try to keep it constructive everyone but here goes

Why not be able to build shrines.
ok so you build this grand building and you pick a diety either your own or one that already exists then as a project you can pray to him.

now i'm not set in any aspect of this but when your pray enough you can raise your dead leaders or say another prayer project could bring animals to your city or another prayer could be to have a 50/50% chance to improve at your abilitys just for examples.

Another idea could be that your build temples or shrines or whatever right and you could make sacrifices to your gods with peoples lives or even by giving the shrine iron or whatever that shrine wants have the shrine randomize what you need .

OK so i know it would be alot of work but maybe it could give you some ideas

Erm...no. I don't like it.

Sure, build a shrine and pray to it, I don't see anything wrong with that. But special effects from praying? Bleagh. Ewwie. No.

A shrine/temple could just be a normal building named 'Temple of InsertNameHere' or summat.

yes but it doesn't have the same effect like the difference from walking into a mud hut or a hall it does make a difference to me in that aspect of ingame experiance and would give more creedence to faiths in the game to combat all these evil goverments or vice versa watch out for them snake eaters.

Meh. I guess it could be interesting to have a building 'Temple', but I don't see a need for it.

You can build shrines if you want, but the suggestion outlined here will never happen. I am forever banishing this to the depths of the Rejected Suggestions Forum.
