"Outsider, the one known as Bowzer has not yet grown in energy. His power is not as threatening as that of the flying souleater that I have dispatched in Mercuria's name.
"Your martial disciplines are noteworthy, but you must realize that defense alone will not save you. Speak with me and join our band, outsider, and we shall make it safely to the next round together."

Yes, I am harmless as an ant. Perhaps you should look at those that seem to have hundreds of units of energy every round or those that not just enjoy the taste of flesh but that of the soul.
I am here to win this battle. My kind is not one that likes to lose, but if I am not strong enough to win this battle, I will take as many of you down with me before I go.
Leave me be and I'll leave you be until a conflict is unavoidable... but once you draw first blood, I find it hard to control myself.

I think we need to take out the snow goon and it's master before we are over run with them. The will get more annoying as they increase in numbers & both our Cosmic people will grow stronger with each goon (Which I disagree with, Goon's aren't Hero's).
If five of us toss 15 it's directions, we should be good. So, what do you think?

"Starless nights... if the Pastry-fleshed One throws in an ounce of his cosmic power, the snow goon would indeed be well on it's way to the Void.
"Unlike him, my cosmic energy can only be shifted to defense. Whatever attack I might make, it will be with precision. Where it falls depends entirely on what those I confide in tell me..."

MOD NOTE:
This was a weird decision to have to make, and I could argue either way. But look at it this way:
Fiery Shield affects all Heroes equally. Would a Snow Goon be affected by Fiery Shield? They ought to be. Though they have limited will, they can attack and defend. So they should take damage from others' attacks.
What about Vampire Bite? Again the Snow Goon should be affected, and the Vampire should be able to draw energy from a goon -- if they have energy to attack and defend, they have energy to draw from.
So either goons are affected by powers or they're not, and vice versa. I can't very well pick and choose -- in other words, I can't exempt them from counting for Cosmic Aura and Shield unless I also exempt them from other powers, like Fiery Shield, that also depend on or are affected by the number of beings in the fight. Call them whatever you want, Heroes or no, but their existence has to be accounted for.
Just one of those things where I had to make a call. There are a few other situations I can imagine arising, given the powers in play, where I might have to make a judgement call as well -- but we'll deal with those if/when they become issues.

ROUND TWO RESOLUTION
The atmosphere in the chamber is tense, wary -- energies are building now as everyone prepares for the next round of conflict, checking their gear, eyes darting furtively to every side. Only THE CORINTHIAN seems unmoved, even jaunty, flipping his awesome sunglasses down over his eyes and announcing to the room exactly what he plans to do, practically daring them to stop him.
THE ICE DEMON hovers uneasily, centering himself and sifting methodically through the temporal vortices to see how best to allocate his energies. His concentration is shattered by a sudden rift in the vortices, however -- as if someone had swept them away like so many cobwebs: AOLA the Mercuriate was on him, wielding a pure bolt of force with a speed the demon had never seen -- or foreseen -- before. With no time for thought, he throws up a hasty defense, barely enough to counter the attack. As the shockwaves dissipate harmlessly around him, his defenses now sorely spent, the temporal vortices reform in a new configuration. He foresees with dismay that further attacks will be directed toward him in the near future. Desperate measures may be called for.
Meanwhile, THE CORINTHIAN takes advantage of AOLA's distraction to cast his wave pattern over her, drawing on her power to morph his own. Now able to draw on others' energy for defensive purposes, he activates his shades and the lenses blaze forth, doubling his power. He turns to seek RAZORLANCE, determined to extiguish him... but for the moment, is unable to locate him.
Wheeling around an obstacle in another section of the chamber, THE VAMPIRE and THE PIE THING combine their forces in an attempt to wipe out THE ICE DEMON, just as the latter had foreseen. THE PIE THING unleashes his phase cannons, while THE VAMPIRE tries to draw energy right from the demon's soul. THE ICE DEMON, his weary head bowed, now raises his eyes. His enemies are startled to see the light of defiance burning there. With a ragged cry, he rips free a part of his vital essence and casts it before him, weaving it into an impervious and reflective shield. He appears to age slightly from the effort, weakening a bit further, but the attacks are thrown back fully on his attackers. THE VAMPIRE struggles to defuse the harmonic dissonance, determined to avoid drawing energy from himself, and his defense holds. THE PIE THING also has a difficult time defending against his own cannons, but manages in the end to turn the blast aside, shaking with relief.
His respite is short-lived. RAZORLANCE flies out from behind a gray object, his face contorted with rage. His wounds from the previous round, far from hindering his movements, only seem to have made him angrier, perhaps more powerful. Flecks of spittle line his mouth. Showing nothing but contempt for defense, he channels all of his energy into a series of blistering attacks, throwing showers of energy toward AOLA and THE CORINTHIAN. The bulk of his fury, however, is directed toward THE PIE THING, whose back is turned to him. A blinding sheet of pure plasma erupts from his open palm and strikes his target, momentarily illuminating THE PIE THING's skeleton in the instant before the latter's body is entirely obliterated. The after image burns in the others' eyes.
RAZORLANCE cackles with joy, laughing only louder as THE CORINTHIAN's belated attack now bathes him, in turn, in pain. His laughter becomes almost maniacal when he realizes that THE CORINTHIAN may have miscalculated; that the attack is almost, but not quite, enough to kill him.
He has failed to account for THE INFERNO, however. Quiet in the previous round, THE INFERNO has woken the full power of his fiery shield. The heat and brilliance of it permeate the room, one last stream of energy to defend against. All seem equal to the task save RAZORLANCE -- defenseless and depleted, his laughter turns to coughing, then to wheezing, then to silence as the heat suffices to strangle him.
The shield winks out. The sounds of panting can be heard from every quadrant, and the air is redolent of ozone and charred flesh. The remaining mutants wonder what can possibly be next.

CURRENT ENERGY LEVELS:
deadboy: 79 Energy
AoM: 60 Energy
Bowser: 88 Energy
FormerlyHF: 50 Energy
Neuman: 60 Energy (burned 10, cannot attack or defend next round)
Nakranoth: 79 Energy
Snow Goon One: 70 Energy
KILLED IN ACTION:
Pie (reduced to -75), Razorlance (reduced to -4)
COMMENTS:
Cool action.
Pie would have survived Razorlance's berserk attack save for Neuman's use of reflection, causing him basically to attack himself.
Razorlance received 3 from Regeneration at the beginning of the round for a total energy of 49. deadboy's attack alone would have left him at 1 energy, capable of unleashing one last, devastating berserk attack in Round 3... except for Nakranoth and the Fiery Shield. Even with that, just 5 points spent on defense would have kept him around.
6 Heroes and a Snow Goon remain... General Vicious is very pleased.
ROUND THREE BEGINS

Space Colonization code AZ43-12 Log:
June 12, 2864:
This is Captain Talvus Draskar signing in. Today marks another great day in mankind history as we leave Earth today. We're enroute to the Kaus Meridionalis system. I may not see the end of this voyage, but hopefuly the science team will make progress on the way.
...
January 24, 2873:
We were hit pretty hard by more turbulence today. All systems appear undamaged, but I'm almost certain it penetrated our hull this time. I've oreded the tech team to divert more power to keeping the hulls polarized. The last thing we need is our crops becoming irradiated.
Feburary 5, 2873:
Damn. Somethings wrong with our wheat. I swear, I've seen more field fires this past week then I had all trip to date.
April 17, 2873:
Jessica Listan gave birth yesterday. Something went terribly wrong. the child's body temprature is a full fifty degrees higher then it should be, but so far as we can tell it isn't sick. What in hell is going on out here?
...
October 23, 2898:
Ninety eight percent of all births since that first child twenty five years ago have sufferd from a strange genetic mutation. Our unaffected supply of food supply is running low too. It's only a matter of time before we'd need that higher temprature to eat these damn burning crops.
...
May 1, 2954:
Our children are even more genetically diffrent from our parents then are we. Some of the more developed children live their lives encased in flame. It is most distressing indeed.
...
August 11, 3012:
The past ways of reproduction are now fully obsolete. Our elder flame has begun to sprout us its children. Our flight is nearly at its end, and we will soon be landing on Kaus Meridionalis's first planet. It may be a touch frigid, but it should support our crops well enough.
*places an idle foot on the charred remains of Razorlance as his gaze meets those in the room* Excuse me, where are my manners? I seem to have stood a touch too close to this one. *smiles sinisterly* Reguardless, I seem to have forgotten to properly introduce myself. My name is Quasar, for those of you who would know it, and that bastard has our elder flame. *shakes his head, fire trailing as he moves* So, no offense to any of you or whatever that heartless beast may have taken from you, but I will not stand by and allow my race to flit out... *glances over at the snow goon with disdain* And is anyone else Cold in here? Maybe we could get them to kick the heat up a bit in here... *flares up slightly*

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
