cantr clock & calendar widget?

Postby herkamer » Sun Jun 24, 2007 11:14 am

I am having fun downloading a ton of fun widgets for my sidebar, and I was thinking how cool it would be to have a little green calendar widget with the cantr date and time on it. Could anyone out there pull that off? If so lemme know, yeah? Come to think of it, it would be super cool to push a button on the calender and it would load up the web site. It would be free advertising for the site, too. Might pull in a couple players, never know.

You can put little programs off to the side of the desktop. Clocks, notepads, newsfeeds, whatever. Just google widgets and you'll see what I'm talkin' about.

Yeah, it comes on the vista automatically but it was nice even when I was using XP, works just the same.

Yeah Seko that's what I was saying.. no one likes Vista, vista is shit, it's a rip off, has nothing new, slows ur computer down, restricts you from doign a lot of things, is expensive, is crap, and so on.

*shrugs*

So anyway, I'm not really taking a poll on vista. I am looking for anyone that has programmed gadgets or widgets or whatever their called to find out if a little calendar would be possible.

You're being quite naive, because the point is, you should be taking a poll on who uses Vista. No body, no programmer (particularly here in the staff!!) will waste their time on a bloody little widget that you, and some other polish Vista user, will use - if that many people at all.

Do the widget yourself if you want it, serkamer.

Haven't similar deals been discussed in the past? It might be a rather neat little idea.

I think you're being rather rude there. He was just expressing an idea. And the widgets and gadgets are two different things, one is built in for Vista and the other thing can be installed in older systems.

There are a couple of Cantr clocks I saw around here... Here's the one I remember: http://www.cantr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=176723 I liked it, but I haven't put it on my new comp since I got it.

N-Aldwitch, he wants to see about Cantr clocks, and not talk about how good/bad an OS is (which doesn't belong in this thread!). Nor in the GD forum. If you want to rate/discuss OS's then put up a poll in the NCD forum. So stop being rude and thoughtless simply because you don't like the OS initially mentioned.
