Hostile landmark name

Postby Zanthos » Sat Jun 23, 2007 3:50 am

I'd just like to report an instance of destructive nameing of an object. This is a valid complaint, right?

1935-3.33: You see criminal leaving Seatown, taking highway to Seatown Forest.

1935-3.33: You see criminal use some wood on Building a wooden landmark: Death To All In This Town.
Person: Akamada doesnt control the animals.
You see a wild boar attack Person.
Person: I still dont believe you.

Seems a valid comment to me. But maybe you should be able to rename landmarks like you can for buildings and vehicles.

This is considered valid - there is nothing exceptionally offensive nor is it an obvious OOC reference - The landmark project won't be changed or removed .

High on ProgD's list of things to do is implemented project cancellation and resource recovery . Once that is done there will be an in-game method of removing this

How about using the paintbrush to change it. Like for cars and buildings. Should be the same for a landmark. :)

Better a chisel. It is stone.

I always pictured a landmark as a permanent thing. How about the only way is just to destory it.

I like graffiti for these things. Paintbrush should work to change it.

Assuming it's carved then it should take a chisel to change it. Graffiti should add a painted message, not erase a carved one.

I think the point is that the person didn't and will not use a single hour in carving that message. In order to break it one day people would first have to finish the project and it would mean working on something that ridicules your home town.

Right, they didnt say a single thing after spawning, didnt do anything in the time they wer there, stole the wood and some stuff from some buildings, made the sign and then left, didnt do any work on the landmark.
