My greatest moment as a player, the thing that made me feel the most accomplished, was when I stole a van. It was in the first few months of my playing, so I was still learning about the game at the time. It was actually my first time in a vehicle of any sort. Stealing a van was impressive enough for me, but what made this moment so memorable was that I stole it while the man who chased down and killed the last thief was awake and talking.
I got in the van, knowing he was awake, just to piss him off and get a little bit of a discussion going. My char was pretty mouthy and liked risky thrills so this seemed to fit. So I checked out the objects, activities, locations, just to see how a vehicle is different then outside or a building. Between each other screen I went to the events screen, where the man who killed the last thief said something new to his friend (another thief chaser from another town).
After hearing him speak three times after I got in the van, completely ignoring me, I figured it was time to take this conversation to the road. So I took off. I never saw the man or his friend again. I discovered I could break off a lock with a screwdriver (stolen a few days before) while I was on the road. After a few days I got pretty hungry so I came back to town and had one of the most enjoyable RP sessions I‘ve ever had.
Both thief chasers had left and so I was never punished, and was rewarded for bringing the town a new vehicle. Sometimes good things happen to bad people.
It also felt good to know that none of my characters died of attacks or hunger despite LOTS of really close calls. Most live over 30 too

Although it didn't feel to good to end my account.
