Acutally the post talking about how evil is defined is actually pretty good, and I agree that murder is pretty hard (now if you had a claymore or crossbow maybe it would be easier lol) But I still think even with the difficulty of causing crimes maybe a player should try to create a character who wants to it would make cantrian(?) life more interesting and cantrtastic

It seems to me that all the criminals in cantr that act like a stereotypical criminal (and there's nothing wrong with that) always lead fairly short lives; they make an impact, a lot of people die, everyone turns against them and then their brief reign of terror is discussed in the forums.

I agree. The most succsesful criminal I ever had(last time I played before a took a break from cantr) was a man by the name of Feanor. He would travel from town to town with his wooden cart(*laughs* yes a wooden cart) under the disguise of a traveling trader. However, he would play it smart and in alomst every town he would steal a good bit of valuable resources and just leave peacably and no one would ever know he did it(until maybe later when he was to far away for them to do anything about it). He would then trade the stuff at new towns for more valuable resources and then rob them before he left.

He became rich quick by mixing stealing with succsesful trading. He was a loner, but none-the-less a very fun character to play.

O_O Exactly how did you steal from the town? You traded with them and picked up the items and left?

I disagree with a lot of opinions from people who play this game anymore. I think there's lots of possible crime, just a lack of the type of player to cause the crimes. Thieving and making away with things doesn't really make things interesting, sure it's a rush for you and it feels great if you get away with it- If you get caught it gives the law enforcement type people something to do that actually pertains to their job but it's not really a big deal. If they don't catch you the item's replacable and you've set them back a bit perhaps, if they're a poor town. It's not something that people are going to stay awake for turn change about and that's the type of thing that makes the game interesting.
I hate people.

If you're a lonely person with a house that has a lockable back room then you could invite someone to the back room, say that you want to show them something or that they get to pick what ever they like from your wares or that you want to talk to them in private, then lock the door. You can play mind games with them and eventually they will starve or get the character deleted, or perhaps promise to be your slave to get more food. You just gotta be prepared to spend several years in process. If the person dies you can tell others they had the sleeping sickness and you didn't notice it until it was too late. Oh, nowadays it's also possible for people to kill themselves. In that case you better make sure that the person doesn't have the same kind of weapon you do or it would look shady.

Either make up a good excuse to go into one of the off-limits buildings and steal alot of iron ore or coal ect.., or do the old drop a little pick up alot trick. Either way you do it, if you do it smart it is not hard to get away. Mainly doing it in big towns work best because there are so many people, resources, and events going on that you can get away fairly easy. For instance in one town I stole 10k of iron ore, and in another I stole 4k of iron and 2k of steel. That was just a few of the valuable things I stole. I also stole a sloop in one account and ran away to another continent.

Hmm...Is it just me or are everyone's characters involved in some secret plot or another that could cause the most chaos Cantr has ever seen? :?
Gee, it would be kinda embarrassing if two seperate conspiring groups happened to stage a revolution on the same day in the same area. Well, I don't care anyway...I bet my Character's secret conspiracies will rock the Cantr world so much more then all the others. :p

If you're gonna start killing people, be sure to gather a lot of healing food first. Since you're gonna run out of it anyway.

I've got a very naive girl who would really like some shiny metals and has involved someone who my OOC self says don't trust, but my IC girl thinks is pretty reliable. She's struggling internally with the hurt to get what she wants / ask nicely for what she wants deal... but I think she'll be hurting.

And my German-language guy has desires to be a theif because he's lazy... he just needs to put some effort into it.
