Skulls

Postby Matt » Tue Mar 02, 2004 1:29 pm

Is it possible to get skulls from the different animals to drop. I mean if I kill a deer you get hide, small bones, large bones and a deer skull. I think that would be very cool.

Also, human skull should be implented as well. They will take up 10 grams in your inventory, same as the animal skulls.

I also want to be able to build a pile of bones. It needs 1500 grams of small bones and 750 grams of large bones. It can just show up on the object screen when done but I think it will look kinda cool.

If skulls are done then we can make a skull temple. It will take 100 skulls in total to make the skull temple. It could be a temple for those mass murdereres out there. Also any kind of skull could be used for the temple

Indeed. Are there such things as bone buildings? I mean, sounds possible right? Wouldn't that be kinda cool? And does anyone know if there are any cultures that made building out of bone?
I just can't stop coming back....

I know there were some ancient civilizations that used the shells of some giant armadillo-like critter for homes.

Bones are useless for building with, once they dry out they become brittle and break so easily. Still that doesn't mean in Cantr they do, am I right? I'm right.

So bone buildings, skull helmets, various bone enhanced clothing would be good. Have them about the same strength as wood perhaps a bit less? I think having them the same would be alright. The skull helmets would still need be made but it wouldn't take very long perhaps just a day maybe two at the most because all you need to do is get a big enough skull and knock some bits out the way for it to fit nicely, perhaps a few straps of leather and fur for a comfy fit.

THere is a church some where (I know I saw it on TV history channel or discovery channel) but there is a church entirely made out of actual human bones. It was actually a very large cathedral like church. I mean even the cross was made out of bones.

Don't forget about Cambodia. The Khmer rouge built some quite interesting structures from skulls and bones. 1 of those is now a monument to that era.

Also, paris (ans some other places too) has lage underground tunnels where they used to bring their dead when the graveyards were full. They made chapels and complete artworks from skulls and bones.

There was a cathedral built out of the bones of the dead during the Thirty Years War. No sure whether it was in Germany or the Netherlands but it was somewhere around there. I think it was destroy during another war centuries later.

Well, then it must have been in Germany. The netherlands never fought (well, not really) a 30 years war, the germans did. and the Austrians, french... Uhmm. I left some out I believe. Anyway, it was a kind of a religious war, so U never know. :P
