It would be cool to have machinery for public executions.
I would make them really expensive and requiring 3 or 4 people to operate (the number of people could change from machinery to machinery).
The gas chamber would also give a meaning to sulfurates....

Anyway, you could make a living as executioner in Lad I think.

All of these options were considered a more humane way of dealing death than hunting people down as animals.

I would see the empire as needing crosses (iron+wood) and whips (leather+glass) not these other tame devices.

Yeah, a very un-lad way of executing people.

Well, we've got needles, we've got hammers. Ever imagined the pin you suffer when a needle is driven under your nails with a good hammerblow? Best thing is: there's 20 nails to work on.
Even better maybe: The victim won't be dead yet, so many more torturing options are available.

Hmmm. Been to a torture museum in Amsterdam once. (Quite close to the sex museum).

Well, until we get virtual reality or at least advanced force feedback on Cantr, we will not be able to feel the pain of our characters. Still, public executions could provide some great RP opportunities.

I do want executioning machinery.

Many comments about gallows, guillotine and other here also (but this was the first suggestion on the topic)
