Drag to sea
we need the option 'sea' when you're on a ship sailing in the sea (lake when in lakes too i guess). seriously there were times people dumped cargo, this would also allow you to make someone walk the plank so to speak and for the most part forces cooperation in that aspect if you want to throw a person or a large amount of something into the sea, and of course the rule about someone participating in the project must be a key holder in order for the load to pass through the door. logically.
anyways ya this would be great and i'd assume simple to impliment. of course anything dumped into the sea is lost forever and a character that gets dragged to the sea drowns, now if you wanted to use some of those suggestions that have been mentioned before like personal floatation devices or a swim skill you may but that's totally getting off the main topic here and that's being able to drag objects/people out to sea

Dumping cargo has its uses, but an insta-kill drag seems a touch overboard (*ba dum bum chsssh*... now if we ended up instead creating temporary location (a numbered wreckage?) that floated at (sub?)dingy speeds towards either the nearest city or an arbitrary direction, then "docks" dropping all the contents ashore... people/corpses included...
A person on board could probably also steer it, but become fatigued quickly, and so only be able to steer for a couple ticks... Probably also make it "dockable" by any ship as a means of mid-water salvage... Killing like this means starvation... giving them a chance to be rescued/washed up on shore.

Stop, and think for a second.
This suggestion allows for 5+ people to be killed in 30 seconds.
If we accept your suggestion, a pirate simply drags 5 townmembers to his boat (this takes 15 seconds with no lag), undocks (takes 1 second) and uses the rest of the time to simply drag them overboard.
A kill every 6 seconds, hey?
And I never said I was against this suggestion!!!!!!

Shakapus, I agree. But that's already implemented- you can bury bodies at sea. Pretty much same effect, still balanced, but just takes time.

One possibility to this as i see it. Is to implement swimming that has been discussed. The you can throw someone over board and let him/her swim to shore. If the character dosen't have anough food to get to land, he/she straves. So trow the character overboard far, far from any shore and you have done a simple kill.
But, if this suggestion should be implemented then the ability to climb up on to a ship should be possible aswell.

DB's, but not characters. Only objects dragged to sea/lake.

If swiming will be added, then it should reduse your stamina by the time. And if you reach 100% of tirednes then you should drown. But, this whould anihilate the hole town at once. If only draging living person to the sea would be some kinde of projeckt. Then others kidnaped persosn could help their partner not to be draged off. But still, i dont think this should be done.

Yeah, dragging people off boats is stupid. Very stupid. Very very stupid. A bunch of newspawns simply make a longboat, dock to some sleeping people's brilliant galleon that they've spent ages on, throw them overboard and zoom off.

How's that any diffrent from real piracy? Right... this involve people's hard earned characters instead of lives... I can see the lack of appeal.
But more more constructivity... I'm against the absolute destruction of materials by simple means... that said, I'm also for being able to dump extra weight from the sea/lake/road without having to be in a town. I'd like to see stuff start washing up on shores, and I don't honestly see a squad of even three people on a long-boat attempting a galleon no matter what... the lock's just too big a threat on that large of a vessel. So honestly it seems more like a feature to mutiny against captains and help escape pirates then a means of piracy itself... Oh, and if you jettison some cargo to loose weight, and the pirates can recover it... I'm all for it.

If they throw people overboard right after undocking, those people would swim back to the shore in one day. And then, the Pirates of the People's Bathing will be all tired.
I like the idea. It would be... like if when you swim, you actually steer an one man boat.
I think it would be good that, even if the ship is docked, you can jump overboard.

dragging does increase tiredness, right?
if so, how can one person reasonable be expected to drag 6 people 2 times within a minute?
and maybe dragging to sea would have a modifier of 2x dificulty, as it is a fight between life and death.
