Return of the King sweeps Academy Awards

Postby rklenseth » Mon Mar 01, 2004 5:12 am

Just that. Return of the King is tied in most Academy Awards with Titantic and Ben Hur. Now if you count the other two films considering it is all really one story and one movie just broken up since no one that I know can sit through over 9 hours of a movie then it has the most Academy Awards.

I wonder how many awards the "Godfather" got between its 3 movies at it really was one story too... I'm not sure.

True. I don't think Godfather III one any awards. Quite frankly the third movie sucked.

Anyways, Marlon Brando refused his Best Actor Oscar for Godfather. Only two people in the history of the Oscars have refused their awards. Marlon Brando as stated above and George C. Scott for his role in as General Patton.

According to the Alamanac, Godfather won 2 major awards (one of which was refused) Best Picture and Best Actor. Godfather II won 3 major awards, Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Director. Godfather III didn't win any major awards.

Was it me or did Bill Murray looked pissed off when Sean Penn won the Oscar for Best Actor?

Sean Penn's an idiot. "There's no such things as WMD's"

What, ricin, a-bombs, sarin, anthrax, and dirty bombs don't count?

He is almost as dumb as Arnold... I really can't stand when political parties use such demagogery to further there aims such as banking on the celebrity of dimwitted celebrities. That goes for both parties.
