*he wakes up and laughs* Come on guys, don't try and kill me because I sleep. For all I know you could be all zombies trying to kill the best of us off. And for all you know I might have been asleep to let you focus on the zombies themselves *he turns to Nakranoth* I apologise for being so straight with you. I didn't know you from the tip of my nose. *he offers a handshake to Nakranoth* We all know you are a good person. Can we just work out together who the zombies are?

*begins to chuckle, but instead coughs blood* Don't fret too much mtm, You'll have me dead tonight as well. We all know certanty is the one thing zombies have most to be afraid of. And Priest, I know you're out there still... find the bastards for the town's sake... and even if you can't have found them by the time your lot is up... let the rest know at least who it isn't before you go... and pray you see your demise comming before it knocks down your door... *shakes his head* I know the fate lieing for me just past nightfall... don't throw your lives away over one lowly man tonight.

mtm.. I'm so sorry.. but all odds point in your direction.. *he rests a hand on his shoulder* Mtm.. If you are a zombie.. you've betrayed us all...
I hope you are. That sounds strange.. but I do hope you are a zombie..

Is there anything you can prove of yourself to suggest otherwise? Because I would hate to see an innocent die.. It would distabilize us, and Nakranoth would lose a lot of respect - which we don't want at this critical point in time..

*he slowly looks around the room, counting on his fingers*

Oh... k...

I count nine of us.
Seven have voted for mtm21

Now, I reckon we have at least two evil ones amongst us, the master of these zombies, and one zombie. We may have two zombies, which would make three...

Three from nine, makes six, by my reckoning. So, if there are three evil ones, one of them has voted for mt21. And I doubt any zombie's gonna be eating one of their own kind?

*he rubs his chin thoughtfully, considering*

Of course, if one of the zombies did vote for mtm21, then it stands to reason that said zombie would subsequently try to find some plausible reason for withdrawing his vote.

As you have just done.

If we use your logic, then we must now conclude that the remaining six of us who have voted are good; while you, and the two other non-voters, are evil.

Saztronic, you are as wise as I. *he looks to HF with weary eyes* Saztronic raises a very powerful argument. You've just tried to back out of killing one of you own, I think.

*he looks panicked* Everyone! *he shouts* Back away from HF! *he slowly takes a step back* Keep your weapons focused on mtm! But watch HF! *he looks to Saztronic* Saztronic... be careful, please.. you've now opened yourself up to attacks by the zombies.. *he holds Saztronic's shoulder for support*

Personally, If I were a zombie... and I saw the mass of people voting on one person... I'd join to keep suspicion from being cast upon myself, reguardless of who that person were... and the if I thought I could do it... drawing out after "too many" people voted on them seems like a good way to save someone... *shrugs* Not saying you're a zombie, just that too many people voting doesn't mean he can't be.

*he nods slowly* I see your point, Nakranoth, but right now, if HF is a zombie, Saztronic's life is at risk.
While I'm surprised they haven't killed you yet, friend, I am on the other hand not-so-surprised, perhaps they are being tricky and using you to get us to vote on innocents? Who knows.
My main fear is that mtm is innocent...

*he sighs deeply and shakes his head*

Take note, those who doubt me, of when I voted for mtm21... It was only with three preceeding votes.

Such a position would be an ample time to accuse someone else, to divert attention from mtm21, if I were trying to protect my evil brethren?

I am not an evil one, but, like us all, you only have my word...

My reasoning is rational. My argument sound. The evil ones are in a minority. it would make no sense for them to vote for one another, not even to save face...

My suspicion now heavily lies upon saztronic. But it seems I have my arm bent in this matter. If voting for mtm21 is the only way to proove my innocence, I have no choice.

I just hope to the heavens above that when tomorrow comes, I will be prooved wrong. If we loose two innocents tonight, you only have your own folly to blame...

*he sighs heavily and puts his hand on HF's shoulder* Thankyou for believing in me. If I die tonight, don't worry I don't blame you or any others in that fact. People are just following suit so the attention is diverted off them. Just please promise me you will get those zombies that spilt innocent blood for me. *he lowers his head*

It is a very real and unfortunate possibility that mtm21 is innocent. We all dread it, none of us wish for it, but there it is.

I am now even more confused by FormerlyHF’s behavior, however. If, as you say, you truly believe that a zombie has voted for mtm21, and that therefore mtm21 must be innocent, then how can you now vote yet again for someone you believe to be innocent? Aren’t you compelled by your own moral logic to vote for someone else, whatever the consequences may be?

*shakes his head*

Either you never believed in mtm21’s innocence in the first place, in which case you are a zombie; or else you did and still do believe in mtm21’s innocence -- and yet believing it, have now voted for her a second time. Whichever it turns out to be, I don’t think the suspicion of someone who would act either way will cause me to lose sleep at night.

I followed my conscience, and was greeted by suspicion and accusations.

My reasoning would compel me to take my vote from mtm21... But your focus on me, makes that an untenable position. If your responses were more rational. Had you seen sense, we would not be discussing this.

However, you seem eager yourself, saztronic, to maintain your vote for mtm21, despite the obvious and clear reasoning...

If I felt that others would follow me, then I would have kept my vote elsewhere. But it seems that you would have me under suspicion for that act, and no one seems to have followed me.

Come the 'morrow, it will not be my conscience which will weigh heavy, but that of those who voted for mtm21, despite my reasoning. Unless, of course, that person is without conscience, saztronic?

*places his hands behind his back musingly*

My arguments have been utterly rational. So much so, in fact, that they apparently convinced you to reverse course. Or do you change your mind when confronted with irrational arguments?

As to conscience... well, as I have said, we are all shooting in the dark, and if our mark is innocent, as she may well be, then we will all suffer the consequences together. Both physical -- in the loss of a fellow good citizen during a crisis -- and spiritual -- in our shame at having wrongly taken a life.

Yet we all know that a life must needs be taken, nevertheless. Our circumstances demand it.

That being the case, let us continue to proceed as rationally as we are able. You fear that my reasoning reagarding your vote change has put you at risk. One way to diffuse that risk would be if others were to join you in changing their votes.

Therefore, I suggest the following course: Let us both unvote mtm21, and perhaps one or two others among us who feel moved to do so. The majority will still cast votes for her, and (however much we might loathe the prospect) she will be lynched. If it turns out that she is good, then your rationale for having changed your vote will gain credence, and we will all learn to pay better attention to it. If she is evil, however, suspicion will not fall so heavily upon you alone, but rather on all those, including myself, who chose not to vote for her for whatever reason.

Unvote mtm21
