I have neither a lawn nor a car. What I would want to make with a good electric motor is a ball mill (http://www.unitednuclear.com/ballmill.htm) so that I can make gunpowder and other fun things.

The one I saw but did not used was made about forty years ago. It featured a large fan motor on a piece of plywood. There was no guard on the underneath of plywood where the blade rotated. I think the wheel were taken from an child's wagon.

It was for a California lawn so it wasn't real lawn mowing like here in the MidWest.

But three kids did grow up using this thing in the 1960s and getting "bit" by things it would shoot out.

i know a dangerous electrical thing!

the fly swatter. i used to own one that had batteries, and this wire mesh screen. it looked like a metal tennis racket. and you would swing it at a bug, and they would fry. sometimes i even got a bit of smoke and could hear the flys last dieing BUZZZZ. funny, it did the same BUZZZZ-Zap that i was explaining a while ago.

Not necessarily. I've never seen one of those, but it seems to me that it would have the advantage of killing flies in midair, not just by hitting them against surfaces.

Hmmm.... Dangerous electronic/electric toy... *Thinks deeply*

Our Vacuum cleaner... On itself not dangerous, but, when our cat is around, you'll have to dodge it as it bounces off walls with deadly speed... So the vacuum is a kind of "remote uncontroller"

For my roomie here: Any powertool. Come to think of it, any tool.

@Psycho pixie: Does that zap-swatter work on gremlins too? Without modding it i mean. (Think up a plan to mod a zap swatter to work on 220 Volts here).

i am reminded of a quote i heard once...

it was something about hooking up the energizer bunny to a Sears DieHard battry (for you non-americans, a big pink bunny with a drum that marches all across the country advertizing standard batterys for flashlights and radios and such... getting hooked up to a car battery)

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
