Animals/Animais

Postby Doug R. » Thu Apr 19, 2007 3:11 am

Greetings! I'm the new Resource Department Shepherd, charged with keeping watch over the animals in Cantr. I'm starting this thread so I can get feedback from all the language groups about the animal situations on their islands. Your feedback is appreciated, even if (especially if) everything is perfect (if it's not broke, don't fix it).

You could get rid of most of the scarabs on the Portuguese island. I mean, we have them at every single location including forests and mountains and they are vicious little things. I think I already lost two charries to them which really sucks. And it's weird, they are so little but do a lot of damage! Is there a way to change that?

Congratulations by the way, I'm sure you're going to do a great job.

To Doug:

From what I've heard in other language locations, our situations is quite similar. Of course, we have some problems with having way too much animals sometimes but that's natural with our low development...
But congratulations, it's been all working perfectly!

Not to Doug: :D

Gran, eu acho que não há mais nada no Cantr todo mesmo... Ah, pera... há savanas... Mas ainda bem que não temos de tudo! Se tivessemos viajar não tinha piada... E acredita que assim tem!

Hi. On your U-shaped island, there are only 3 kinds of animals. Has it always been so? Do you want more?

i'll explain: Portuguese island (the cute one  ) was to close to the Lithuans island....(the so caled "U-shaped island") so we kinda travelled arround those two islands (and another one close to those two...the no wood island  ) and split each other and it ended in a lot of confusion bla bla bla.......but in my opinion the U-shaped really needs more animals, only bufalus(wharever) and scarabs there.

Hi Doug

As to the animas in the Portuguese island ( the one that looks a bit like a weird Africa) and as long as you ask if we want more animals I have a couple of suggestions

First more sheep! We don’t have any hemp, silk or cotton in your island so wool would be a good way of making close with a non-imported cheap resource.
Second birds! For all I know we only have hawks as birds in your island. This is a pretty low egg source! More and different bird would be nice!

This are the serious proper suggestions that we really could use but you could also thrown in exotic animals in the mix! I would love to see a Gorilla or a Mammoth in your island. :P :P

As for the rest keep up the good work!!

What you talking about? The "No-wood-so-you-suckers-must-import-it-from-other-lands-lol-ownage-on-ya-suckas-lmao" or the regular island?(no u-shaped)

Anyway, I agree with sheeps.

Mammoth?!

... and Tiranossauro Rex...

E que sua principal fonte de alimento sejam lituanos com machados de batalha de aço...

Não vou postar em inglês... posso ser mal interpretado...

Thanks for the feedback. Your island, and the others in the area, will be getting a cold-weather compliment of animals. My concern about sheep is that since you currently have none, adding wool into the resource mix could disrupt current economies. Where do you get your wool now?

You will be gaining a bird species for a total of two, because things may get slightly more dangerous with the new fauna (cave bears and mastodons). Don't worry though, the maximum number of animals per location is based on how dangerous they are, so you won't have to worry about large packs of man-eating cave bears (just small packs).
